At first dvd's appeared to be arriving on time and there seemed to be no problems. However after a few weeks approximately 1 in 3 of the dvds wouldn't turn up. Dvds on tap? Thinking of joining. Essentially its a good idea. Heres just a warning though and an account of my own experience. Whether or not the problems that arose were DVDs on Taps fault is a question you'll have to consider yourself. I have been a member now for 3 months. I signed up for the 3 dvd's package. What actually happened was another matter. At first dvd's appeared to be arriving on time and there seemed to be no problems. However after a few weeks approximately 1 in 3 of the dvds wouldn't turn up. After each one I sent them an email and the item was take off my rented list and another dvd sent out. dvdsontap.co.uk is what the Internet is all about. Pay a tenner a month, make a list of films you want to see, and they'll post them to you one at a time. When you've watched one, stick in the prepaid envelope provided, and they'll send you the next one. It's that simple. It's hard to write a long review for dvdsontap because, unlike so many other things, it just works. They have literally thousands of DVDs in stock, and they use cleverly-designed DVD cases that weigh ever-so-slightly less than the first class postal maximum. You can put your list of films in any order you wish, and you'll get emails to tell you when your next film ... Read the complete review

OK, OK - I admit it - I got tired of Dooyoo a little while ago and have long remained absent :-( sorry for any of you who have written in my guest book, read my reviews and commented or just given me my 3p a read while I was away. Please pretend I was on a long trip to Mongolia delivering bread to the underprivileged heathen tribes or something - I'm not a bad person really ;-) Oh, and I see we're still living in Pop-up Ville Rightio - here's a review (if I can remember how to even set one out after this long) for your delectation and amusement: DVDs On Tap - what a wonderful, fantastic and overall lovely company to use. ... Ipoints has led me to some strange places over the past couple of years. I've signed up to lots of free trials of things I didn't particularly want, and had to cancel them once the trial was up to save them direct debiting my bank account, just to get those points. One place I'm delighted they sent me, however, is dvdsontap.com. dvdsontap.com is not a site selling DVDs, but a site renting them. It's just like your local video shop, but you don't have to trek there only to find that they haven't got what you want anyway. You get your DVDs through your letterbox and return them by post. THE SITE The site is pleasing ... Read the complete review

Until recently I had just joined the local videoclub around the corner which offered a night's DVD rental for £3.50 per DVD as there were no Blockbusters or some other big name video rental companies nearby which offered a better deal. As DVDs usually contain so much more extra features than you would find with a VHS tape such as audio commentaries from the director or stars, documentaries or other goodies, it is very difficult to get through the disc in one evening. The solution to this problem came from a recommendation on one of my regular web site haunts that went on to explain that you could rent DVDs for as long as you like and pay just 7.99 per month ...
