Advantages: I have not come across any yet?!
Disadvantages: Time it takes to sort things out
I have always wanted to like the DVLA and always hoped it would be a great service, however I much have been dreaming!
Everything I have done to do with the DVLA over the past year has been such a hassle. At the moment I am in the middle of trying to purchase a new car - sounds easy enough - and buying a new car should be a lovely experience and I am sure I should be a little be excited.
Well unfortunately that excitment has worn off. In order for me to drive my new car away with a private reg plate on VW needed to send off a transfer form and obviously get the car taxed. Apparently this usually takes up to 10 working days. I thought this was fine - 10 days of exciment looking forward to getting my new car. 20 days has now passed.
I know I should probably be contacting the DVLA now to find out what is happening and why it is taking so long, however I find their staff seem to have the worst customer service and telephone skill I have ever come across and I will get annoyed even more.
