Advantages: fantastic customer service

Disadvantages: none really....

On hearing that E-Toys was withdrawing from the UK and having a massive closing down sale, I decided to get my order in as quickly as I could.

I surfed around the site and managed to find some bargains and a few birthday pressies for my daughters. I placed the order with fingers crossed, because you never really know whether you'll get the goods under these circumstances and you do hear awful stories of companies who withdraw and leave customers high and dry.

Well, I received one eamil to say one item I'd ordered was sadly unavailable and a day later another email to state the delivery times were out because of the inudated dispatch company. After a few further days wait and feeling more nervous, I sent an email to the Customer services dept(even though by now the company had officially closed and the web site was closed.) and I had not only a responce, but a personal one - no automated messages...and a day later my goodies arrived! They really did pull it off well, considering the admin involved in processing orders during a close down situation.

Well done E-toys...shipping fees or not, I'll still shop with you!
