When you have small children, the most important thing is safety. I know that if I am buying a toy for a small child that safety is what I will get if I go to the early learning centre. They have a whole range of toys, from things that will increase hand and eye co-ordination , things that make a noise with bright colours that are fun to ... Read the complete review

I did buy my daughter quite a lot of educational toys, so I could give her the best possible start in life. First of all from the ‘Early Resource Centre’ I got her some reading books, some very simple ones, even though she was less than 1. The health visitor said it was like not talking to a child if you didn’t read to her. ... Read the complete review

Well if you can stand the noise there is a great range of inexpensive musical instrumenst available from the Early Learning Centre. Everybody know kids love to make a noise and these instruments can be given to any age child to get them into the idea of making music. Many of the toys are percussion which the kids love. THey have harmonicas, ... Read the complete review

I have 3 children aged 2, 3 and 6, and have always bought toys from ELC, if an item is not in stock they will order one, and also you can buy online and over the telephone. Delivery is very good. The toys are excellent quality, very hard to break which my boys have tested. My boys especially love the Happy tracks and Happy road sets, they are ... Read the complete review

I have bought many products for my children from the Early Learning Centre and have found them great value for money. I have found all the stores set out very well, and think it is great that they have so many demonstration goods that the children are allowed to try out, as with most other stores this is a definate nono. I find ... Read the complete review

What a great shop to go into, all my friends are delighted they now have an excuse to go in and play with all the toys. And even better - now they have a designated time just to go in and try the toys. The stores I've been into all tend to be a bit cramped but I think that adds to the fun and atmosphere of it. the staff are really ... Read the complete review

Although not as 'trendy' these days as it used to be, The Early Learning Centre is *the* place to visit if you are looking for well made educational toys. Both our kids were brought up on ELC products and although there is an eight year gap between them, the goods available these days are just as good as they were first time ... Wow, what can I say, The Early Learning Centre is a great shop for kids toys. Whatever you want you can be sure to find it here. They also do online shopping or mail order, but I personally prefer to actually go in there and play! All of their toys are put into realistic age categories so you can tell what is going to be suitable for ... Read the complete review

I would like to support Mike France's comments about Early Learning Centre, I have been employed with this company for three and half years and not only have I enriched the lives of many chrildren and parents but the company has enriched mine too. This xmas trading period is the most exciting one I have had the pleasure to be involved in, ... Read the complete review

I'm not ashamed to say that I quite often go into the Early Learning Centre. And I'm not getting something for my little sister, it's for me. I find it's great for buying silly presents. There are plenty of things there that aren't just for little kids, that bigger kids can use too. I have bought cards games, and tapes ... Read the complete review

The ELC has always been my first stop for toys. The toys are well thought out and attractive to children and parents alike. They have a policy of not categorising toys by sex of the child (perhaps if my parents had gone there I would have got a train set). They also have play sessions when they close down the tills and the kids and Mums and ... Read the complete review

The staff at ELC strive every day to bring its guests a unique shopping experience whether they are 18 months or 80 years old. The company ethos is centered on "enriching the lives of children" and every product is designed to encourage the development of a child through play. In the time pressured world of today ... Well the festive season is almost upon us again and the shops are full of the tacky trimming we will use to adorn our house, but apart from having extra stock there is very little sign of the looming "santa-season" at Early Learning Centre. This is one of the main reasons I shop there, no gimmicks, no tacky low-quality plastic rubbish ... Read the complete review

The Early Learning Centre is one of the few shops catering for families with young children that seems to have considered the children. If you bring a child into the ELC you don't have to spend every second watching to make sure they've not touched anything they shouldn't. In fact they are encouraged to play, boxes are opened ... Writing as a mother of a 2 year old, I have to say that I love the toys produced by Early Learning Centre. We do have alot of them and have never yet had a problem. I like the fact that they try to be educational while being fun, and that children are allowed to play with them in store! Have you seen the new Tuesday play ... Read the complete review

My local branch of the Early Learning Centre has recently had a makeover, and what a pleasure it is to shop there now. It's bright and welcoming, and the shelves are always well stocked. They sell a wide range of toys, which are very reasonably priced. I was in there on Saturday, and they had some "Animal Snap" cards for £1. A ... Read the complete review

I've been into a good few toy shops with my daughter and I really can say that this shop is very user friendly! Some toy shops give you the impression that they just want your money and not your childs grubby little paws over their merchandise - not so with the ELC this shop actually displays toys so kids can touch 'em and play with them. ... Go to the early learning centre and you can't go far wrong. They have some lovely toys which are cheap, well made, safe and for the most part educational (although I do believe that play of any sort can be educational). For my sons birthday I bought him a lovely wooden jigsaw which was so well made and cheap at just £5. For ... Read the complete review

apart from giving me some free time to look at what is about, the itmes around the store gave me a much needed Idea as to what my son is interested in and capable of doing. The shop took back a faulty item and exchanged it without any quibbles. I even forgot to take in the receipt, but, as with all good things, their little logo gave them an ... Read the complete review
