Bought a framed art print of a classic car. Selection of prints is great, even though range of classic car prints is somewhat limited. All car prints that are available seem to be of good quality though and prices are much better than in the high street (if you can find it). Went for off white mount and black wooden frame. Picture came in security boxing and looked much better than on the site. Real glass and wood with an old school feeling of quality and solid weight. Would clearly recommend.
I am a Swedish interior designer and have bought from Easyart many times, both from the English one and the Swedish one. Before I found Easyart, I struggeled with some companys providing me with low quality prints and long delivery times. With Easyart it's just so smooth and easy. It's affordable and the quality of the prints as well as of the frames is brilliant. I can warmly recommend Easyart to anyone who is looking for affordable art online.
I found easyart.com through a search on Google, and am glad I did! So much choice, and so easy to pick a print from all the different categories. Once I had my print of choice, I could take it to the framing section where it was easy to choose from a vast number of different frames and mounts. Overall the service was excellent, my art print was delivered extremely quickly and was packaged excellently. I would recommend this website to anyone who is interested in art, interior design, or just wants something new and interesting on their walls to brighten up a room!
In the past when I wanted to update or brighten my kids bedrooms I always used to go to Woolworths in the High Street and flip through that great big "album" of colourful posters of pop stars, football teams and cute puppies.
Woolies are of course long gone (and you forget how easy it used to be to shop for all sorts of things there)- but now what seemed like a good selection pales into insignificance when you check out the Easyart website with its choice of what must be thousands of posters of all shapes, sizes and subjects! Many are available for same day despatch, and when I chose a Manchester United team photo and the latest Harry Potter film poster for my 10-year old son's newly-painted bedroom, I was delighted to get them in the very next day's post, rolled in a sturdy tube and ready to Blu-Tack on the empty wall.
But this isn't just a site for the kids! I was amazed (and positively mesmerised) by the gigantic range of posters and prints - what a great source of presents for everyone in the family. Just type a subject or artist in the Search box and see the results! Whether you are looking for an Old Master, a colourful abstract or even a celebrity photo, I doubt whether you'll be disappointed - and everything can be framed just the way you want it without the need for a second mortgage.
I just love exploring this site, and you can even save your favourite pictures in your own 'Gallery'. I've spotted a couple of great prints which will be perfect for our lounge, along with some classy frames to set them off. I'll be back to order them as soon as hubbie gets round to redecorating ......
I saw picture in the National Gallery a few months ago that I loved, and thought would look great above my sofa! ( Obviously a copy, not the original...) ' Coastal Scene' by Theo Van Rysselberghe ( I'd never heard of him before either but it looks a bit like Monet). It's a very calm picture of the sea.
I found it on www.easyart.com and I chose to have it as a canvas, and in the extra large size so it would cover the large space behind my sofa. On the website you can choose to have what size you'd like it, and also if you'd like it on paper, or as a framed print. I chose the canvas as I thought it would be closer to the one in the gallery.
The picture arrived quickly, and was really well wrapped up in a special box. I was really pleased as it looked pretty close to the original one I'd seen.
Let me nail my art colours to the mast straight away: The only original art in my house is a small framed painting done by my daughter years ago when she was in junior school and a rather wonky terracotta head created by my equally ungifted son in a pottery lesson. When it comes to art appreciation, I'm firmly in the I-know-what-I-like camp and I know that to art lovers everywhere this is going to make me sound even more shallow, but I also like the pictures on my walls to match my home décor.
Having thus confessed my artistic shortcomings, it will come as no surprise to know that I first came across this website when looking for a picture to go with our newly decorated living room. The walls were a fairly neutral light beige and the soft furnishings in shades of brown and cream, so I had plenty of scope and wanted something that would add a splash of colour without clashing.
The Easyart website is really well laid out and easy to use. In fact, I'll go further and say it's a pleasure to use. It's just like going to an art gallery with a huge range of pictures to choose from and being able to take your own sweet time about choosing the picture that's right for you without being pestered by some person extolling the virtues of the artist's brushstrokes and trying to pressure you into buying something you really don't want.
The website is very simple and tasteful in design (as one would expect from a website selling art). There is a basic menu across the top of the page and a more refined menu down the left hand side from which it's possible to choose by type, subject or style. It's possible to further refine your choice by artists too and, although there isn't a specific facility for colour matching to your decor, if you type "red" for instance, into the search box, you will be presented with a goodly selection of pictures with a predominant amount of red pigment!
The front page also offers alternative ways of searching for art prints, canvas prints, posters and photography plus links to the framing service and an invitation to budding artists to submit their work.
An added bonus when choosing your picture is that Easyart give buyers an impression of the size of the picture measured against a human silhouette. There is also a bargain basement where it's possible to pick up a print for a couple of pounds.
I'm not really quite the Philistine I've made myself out to be and I knew that I was looking for something modern or impressionistic. To allow the buyer to ponder their choices, Easyart has a gallery section into which you can save pictures you like to enable you to consider them all together before making your final decision. As selecting a picture can take quite a long time when you have so many to choose from, the gallery section comes with the facility to save and password protect your potential purchases in your personal gallery.
Having plumped in the end for one of Picasso's studies of Dora Maar (not everyone's cup of tea, I know, but it spoke to me and besides the room would benefit from a splash of red) the next task was to get my print framed and despatched. Again, there is a huge choice of frames and coloured mountings to choose from. Easyart has the facility to show what your picture will look like with various frames and mountings so that you know exactly what you're buying. It's amazing how different a picture can look depending on how it's mounted and framed so I would strongly advise buyers to try every colour of mounting card and type of frame before making a final choice.
I would also point out here that the cost of the prints, with the exception of limited edition prints, are very reasonable but framing adds considerably to the final price of your purchase. This at least doubles the cost and depending on whether the picture is glazed with glass or perspex, can add even more to the final sum. Having bought a few pictures now from Easyart, I can confirm that their framing service is of a very high standard and well worth that money.
Pictures are despatched well packaged in bubble-wrap and cardboard and delivery is via UPS. The standard delivery charge is a very reasonable £3.95 and standard delivery time is within 1-3 days after despatch. There are alternative charges for next day and express delivery but, in my experience, the turnaround between order, despatch and delivery is pretty fast. It should be noted that as UPS only deliver on working days and run a signed-for service, it's as well to arrange for delivery to an address where someone will be available to receive the parcel. If no-one is there to take delivery UPS will return the parcel to their depot and await further instructions.
Like any responsible company, Easyart has a returns policy and if you're dissatisfied with your purchase you can return it within fourteen days. However, with such a comprehensive site allowing you to view exactly what you're buying at every step of the process, I think it unlikely anyone would need to resort to this unless their item was damaged in some way.
Art is a very subjective thing and one person's masterpiece can leave another person totally unmoved. It has to be borne in mind that this site provides art for the masses so often only the most popular works of a particular artist are available. However, Easyart provide such a huge choice, ranging from the incredibly twee and Disneyesque to the old masters, that it would be practically impossible for someone not to find something to their liking. As far as websites go, I've yet to find another online art print seller to equal the comprehensive choice and service offered by Easyart and I highly recommend them.
In this writer's humble opinion Easyart.com represents the best aspect of what can be achieved on the Web. We all know that shopping for food or clothes is less than ideal online, but sometimes sites come along that genuinely offer a better experience than you can get in a shop. Easyart.com is one of these. The range of art prints that they stock is huge, much greater than you will find in any art shop, andI particularly liked the online framing feature, which lets you see exactly what your picture is going to look like when framed and mounted. They deliver framed pictures free in the UK, which is worth a lot, and I found the site really easy to use and a lot of fun at the same time. Prices are very reasonable, and certainly the framing is cheaper than my local framer, and the quality of the framing was probably better. Congratulations Easyart - you have a fan in me!
This is the story of a young chap (me) who found himself in a new apartment (my house) with walls whiter than a tin of pure brilliant white. Desperate for some colour on his walls this young chap was determined to have some art to style his brand spanking new flat (apartment). So when the pictures of a scantily clad woman just didn’t match the quality and sophistication (yeah right) of his new found pad where else could he turn? Easyart.com no less… With its distinctive layout in green and white and a definitive logo, the first thing to strike this young chap was its mass of prints and artwork. There are literally hundreds of pictures to choose from. From abstract, classic and impressionistic to kids, vintage and modern there is sure to be a style and print to suit you. Or in this young chap’s experience quite a few designs of considerable appeal. And what’s more - pick a piece of wood, plastic or metal and they’ll even wrap it around your chosen print! Now when you find yourself having paid a whacking great deposit on a brand new flat (apartment) you’ll be wanting something cheap and cheerful to take that clinical look off your posh new pad. Prices start from around £7.99 and rise to anything in the hundreds for prints. And that’s just the print – looking a frame around it can cost anything in the region of about £50 – 100 although it would seem to be worth it just for the quality. Conservative and broke this young chap opted for a cheap £9.99 abstract print that would brighten his wall. And that’s exactly what he got – a print in a cardboard tube not much bigger than A3 paper. If he had kids they could likely do something for the price of a packet of Smarties… Having ordered his print the pleased young chap was shocked to find that the piece of art would cost a staggering £4.95 to be delivered! What’s more it was only sent by Royal Mail and didn’t arrive
for over ten days after it had been ordered. Through the letterbox had popped a small cardboard tube with the Easyart.com logo emblazoned across it. Admitedly this young chap was far from impressed. They did however provide him with a £10 voucher off his next framed print and this was more a drop in the ocean than an incentive to buy again. If, unlike a young chap looking to brighten his flat, you are a fan of art and want an online portal to purchase your prints you will find it in Easyart.com. They have a wide range of resources including art history, your own online gallery and a collection of limited editions. Framing appears good albeit expensive and you can choose how you want it framed with a choice of materials, mounts and glass or Perspex. They’ll happily take your flexible friend (credit card) in barter for your purchase or if you aren’t in a rush for it they’ll also take your cheques too. As for this young chap he’ll stick to looking at his abstract print in his ever so bland flat (apartment) in the hope that one day he will get around to making his own easy art.
