Advantages: cheap, wide range

Disadvantages: all products sub standard, no phone contact, no customer service, couldn't be less helpful

A colleague recommended ebuyer to me in 2003. They were cheap and had a wide stock range. What I bought worked- in 2003. As of the start of 2005 the quality of their stock has dived. They have delivered thirty odd items to me- I've only bought about four things, but nothing outlives its warranty, and if a product is more than a week old, they don't give refunds, so you, the unfortunate customer, are stuck in a circle of warranty return, they lose product, fight to reclaim postage, replacement product fails etc. Obviously they've screwed their suppliers down so low on price that they are dumping things that have failed quality control on them. But ebuyer now have an answer to that- at the expense of the customer- they now don't replace faulty goods under warranty, you have to send it back to Korea for repair. Their website claims an average of a minute's wait to get through on their helpline. That'll be the secret one then, because the published number always tells you they're experiencing a high volume of calls, they can't answer now and tell you to phone back later.
I wish I'd never come accross them.
Worse, I recommended them to someone just before they went to ratsh1t.
