I decided to give this brand a try after hearing so much about in through various websites and youtube. The idea behind elf is that they offer quality products at cheap prices starting from $1 on the american version and £1.50 on the uk site.

To be honest i was a little skeptical about buying products that were so cheap but my friend bought me some and whilst certain products have been rubbish others have been surprisingly good.

**Eyes**
The main product i have tried under this category is eye shadow. Elf sell pallets for £1.50 each and you can fill them with what ever you want for a further 1.50 each. I think this is good as you therefore get a set for 7.50. The eye shadows are of good quality and least since it is design your own you can decide what colours you can put in it. One thing that i particularly like about these is that they are reusable so not only can you just replace the colours you want to at 1.50 a go but i think it is better for the environment that people are not using as much packaging.One further thing is that these palettes can be customised so say for example you can have 2 eye shadows,a blush and a lip stick .
They also sell eyeliners,mascaras etc but i have never tried them so i cant comment on how good or bad they are.

**lIPS**
They sell quite a big range of lip balms,lipsticks,glosses etc and they come in a wide range of colours and flavours. I have tried the lip sticks and found them to be quite good. The colours are long lasting and they leave your lips feeling moisturized.

**Face**
This category has been hit or miss. I found the blushers that i have received in my palette to be rubbish but i have loved the shimmering facial whip(a product that brightens skin).

**Others**
Elf also sell kits and items such as make up bags, kits,make up brushes etc but again have not tried them as i either do not need the product or in the case of the brushes i have heard that they are quite scratchy on your face and having a new love for mac make up i decided not to bother buying them but buy more mac instead.

Elf take paypal ,master card and several other cards but not American express. I think this is okay because by using paypal you can pay by any way you want.Also if you spend over £35 you get free postage. I cant comment on how quickly this arrives as my friends always order for me.

Overall i am quite happy with this website when it comes to things such as basic eye shadows or lip products. I do find it a bit disappointing that not only is it cheaper in america(ours is shipped from wales) but they have a bigger range and often have offers on such as a recent one where they got 70% off!!! Also i think the web site is easy to navigate .
