Review of FragranceMad.com

**What they sell**

As the website name implies, FragranceMad.com is an online fragrance store, selling all things fragrance, from Eau de Toilettes, eau de parfumes, gift sets, cosmetics, skin care, hair care and associated products for women and men. They also stock a range of tanning products

**The range**

The range is vast! Old favourites from companies such as Elizabeth Arden and Chanel through to modern newcomers in the world of fragrances like Britney Spears and Victoria Beckham. The extensive stock list is truly remarkable, in fact, I don't think I have ever encountered such a wide range under one roof, even if it is a cyber roof!

**The site**

As one might expect with a site dedicated to fragrance it is heavily geared towards perfume brands. The actual site layout is a little 'messy' to my eye, a black background with brightly coloured logos, buttons and pictures. Perhaps this is a question of my personal taste and perception rather than a messy site!
The site is easy to navigate, a row of buttons above the top banner area provide links to contact us, your account, your wish list, basket and help facilities. The central FragranceMad.com banner is in a modern font, neon pink in colour and bears the companies telephone number, always a helpful addition and the best bit of all, a notice informing shoppers that Free delivery is available on all purchases!
From here on in the site becomes messy and crowded!
There is a secondary row of links, Home, For Men, For Women, Cosmetics, Skin Care, Gift Sets, Hair Care, Tanning and New Products. Below this comes a product search box, it is fast, it works and threw up just what I'd entered in the search.
The centre of the site is filled with special offers and pictures of top selling products. At either side of the page are lists of brands stocked, a fun 'What scent are you?' link, basket, newsletter sign up and various eye drawing boxes and banners. The site seem very keen to push the fact that their delivery is free, an obvious advantage over some of their competitors!
FAQs' T&C, Privacy policy, Returns policy and contact information can be found along the bottom edge of the home page.
Once you have selected the product you wish to see, the link page opens reasonably quickly and depicts a photograph of your chosen product, a RRP price which is crossed through with the FragranceMad price below, plus a % saving. For example Intimately Beckham EDT for women, 50ml spray has a RRP of £26, a FragranceMad price of £13.99 and a 46% saving. Each product page carries a brief description of the the fragrance/product.

**Pricing, payment, P&P**

I have to say that the goods on offer are not the cheapest around, however for the sheer convenience of having everything under one roof, the site is very good. Payment is via Credit or debit Card, the site is secure and no credit card details are stored. VAT is included in the prices shown. All products are guaranteed to be 100% genuine, no samples or testers are ever sold through the site.
Delivery is by Royal Mail and free!
Returns are possible through the sites '7 day No fuss policy' .
The site claim that all order received by 3pm Mon-Fri will be dispatched the same day. All goods are dispatched via Royal Mail 2nd class postage, so allow 3-5 working days for receipt. Worth bearing in mind around holiday times or if an item is required for a gift or certain date!

**My thoughts and conclusion**

FragranceMad.com is an excellent website for the purchase of fragrances and cosmetic, IF you know which product you want! I would never recommend purchasing a fragrance online if you have not tried an in-store tester. Skin types vary, fragrances react differently on each person, what smells gorgeous on your friend, may not suit you. Try before you buy is the golden rule!
That said, FragranceMad.com offers a huge selection, free delivery and they are true to their word. I ordered a Nina Ricci fragrance at a 40% saving against store prices. It arrived 4 days after the order was placed, my order was well packaged and exactly as ordered.

In short, this site is definitely worth a look, especially for family and friends gifts where I know the fragrance choices of the recipient.
