Bought a hairdryer from Funtica in July last year 2013 which developed a fault and can not be used .Contacting Funtica by emails they never replied and on advice contacted them a third time giving them a seven day notice to reply before we went to the Trading Standards. This action brought a response from them. They stated in their reply they will not repair replace or refund the expensive item and suggest we contact the manufacturer and supplied their address.
They claimed they could not source another dryer to replace it but we did in seconds on the internet and cheaper from what we paid FUNTICA.
Under the sale of goods act and other laws in the uk Funtica are liable and do have responsibilities to the consumer which they are aware of trading for so long but simply choose not to adhere to them and left us the consumer to foot the bill and have an appliance that simply is useless. Which is still under warranty and the ruling which holds them as a seller responsible
We have forwarded the case to the Trading Standards and are awaiting a response realizing they are very busy through companies such as Funtica
We would welcome Funtica to take any legal action against us as this would expose their terrible customer care and arrogance to the law. They have been informed all correspondence has been kept regarding the issue.
My advice yes they will sell you goods and you do receive them quickly but when a fault occurs they have no intention of initially replying to you unless it seems mentioning the trading standards and then no intention of repair ,replacing or even refund a case of we had your money you are not our problem.
Simple deduction do not buy from them any electrical goods as they have they will not abide by the laws in place.
