Advantages: Good clothes - different, reasonable prices

Disadvantages: A bit expensive for some items, I'm still awaiting a delivery.

My taste in clothes and such is very varied, and can be quite different from my friends. As much as I love the feel of Ugg Boots (although not owning any myself, as they're too expensive for me to afford) and similar things, I like things a little bit different as well. If I can, I like to sport t-shirts supporting my favourite bands/films/etc but only at a reasonable price.

Also being an avid reader of Kerrang! Magazine, they tend to give up catalogues for a few music clothing stores. The initial one which caught my eye was Grindstore.

As the website says Grindstore is "The UK's No.1 for Rock, Metal & Alternative Fashion and official Merchandise."

They have a large range of different things they sell, men's and women's styles. T-shirts, hoodies, footwear, bags, jewellery and more, they have pretty much anything you can imagine in the 'rock' style of clothing. The range of things they have are excellent, and the search facility is very easy to use, but also at the side they have a 'quick jump' bar, which enables you to choose a band whose merchandise you wish to see, or pick a particular brand of clothing you want to look at, although this is new from the time I last ordered clothes from here.

As the website is for the UK, all of the prices are obviously in Pounds, although underneath they also have the price in Euros and Dollars, which I think is a nice touch. On the main page they have some of the most popular bands and featured products, out of which something always catches my eye!

As well as the usual clothes and things, I have also noticed they have other types of items. The most recent to catch my eye is none other than an Edward Cullen action figure. Looks like everyone is buying into the Twilight phenomenon! As well as that they have a large range of rock bands featured constantly, such as Green Day, Metallica, Blink 182, Bullet For My Valentine and many MANY more.

The prices of the site are fairly reasonable as well. Although most of the t-shirts I have ordered have been around £12 - £16, I don't think this is too bad considering the prices of clothes in general anyway. Having looked at the website today, I found a fair few Green Day t-shirts for between £5 and £7 which is more reasonable, and good considering how much merchandise can cost at concerts!

To order items from the website you need to register, but as far as I recall, this doesn't take too long. The checkout process is quite simple and at the moment they have free delivery on orders over £50. From going through the checkout process myself just now, I have discovered that since they have re-done their website, you have to re-register as your details are no longer saved, which I find quite funny as my Dad still gets emails from them, so clearly they still have our details somewhere!

My own experience of this website:

A couple of Christmases ago, I had a sudden obsession with the superman logo. Being a girl, and at times a very girly girl, I wanted a different take on the logo, and was adamant I had to have the superGIRL t-shirt, being pink and all lovely and totally me! My dad searched high and low and when he just about gave up, I found it in the Grindstore catalogue which I had received with Kerrang. Once checking out the website, he decided it looked safe and ordered my t-shirt. Within about a week, it arrived and was a decent size fitting against the one I expected etc. It was a good job.

Ever since then my dad received emails from Grindstore every now and then, featuring new items and special offers and the like. One that caught my eye was an Easter sale, in which you received what I think was 10% off, which was pretty good! After looking through the website, I saw a few things I would quite happily order, especially with the added bonus of money off! It was also found that if the order was over £50 you would receive free delivery, which sounded pretty awesome to me on things I would want anyway.

So off I went, quite happily searching the website, looking through the various things they sell to find what I wanted. Once I decided on three t-shirts and a necklace (a very awesome Nightmare Before Christmas necklace!) I went through the order system, and there was indeed money off, and also the free delivery as promised.

After placing the order we received an email, stating that one of my items would take up to 30 days to send, which is fair enough, but I would have liked to have been informed of this before I placed the order. Feeling slightly annoyed, but not completely worried I read the email and saved it away. Around three days later another email was received saying that they had posted the three items which they DID have, which meant I would just be one outstanding. I was very happy with this, because I wasn't expecting two different shipping's considering it was free delivery. This order arrived within 3 days, which I was quite impressed with, and everything was in perfect condition.

At the current time, it's been almost 30 days, so I'm hoping my t-shirt will soon be here. A couple of days ago my Dad's credit card statement came in, revealing that they had in fact taken the money for all four items, even though I have no received one yet. I'm sure this is just standard for ordering things on the internet, but I was quite surprised. Especially seeing as the time is getting on and I haven't heard another word about the missing item yet. However, overall, I was very happy with the service, and the quality of clothes received.

I do love this website for some of the items they sell, as it's things which I like and probably couldn't find easily anywhere else. I'm patiently awaiting my other t-shirt to arrive, and did email them yesterday with a hope of them telling me where it is! As they have already taken the money, I don't know whether it is possible to cancel that part of the order or not, so we will see. I think this website is definitely worth a look though, because of the great items they sell at fairly reasonable prices!

Summary: Worth looking at!
