... found one in HPJ, pointed it out in the window, and asked for it boxed. When he got home he wrapped it straight up so I would not find it. On Christmas day I opened the gift box, and realised the stones were not amethyst at all, they were tanzanite, and the customer assistant had given him the wrong ring. Yes, my boyfriend should have checked, but he's male and does not think like that. We managed to exchange the ring with no problems.

Half Price Jewellers is a discount jewellery company with stores across the UK as well as a website. I remember when I was younger regularly going to the shop to buy friends birthday presents as they were very reasonably priced compared to other jewellers on the high street such as H Samuels. In Hull, we have two stores. Neither store has a huge amount of stock, especially with some types of jewellery, but what they do have is very well priced. As you would expect, they sell every type of jewellery you can think of, from rings to watches to bracelets, from silver to platinum, and all at discounted prices.
