Advantages: Cheap Goods, Cheap Delivery
Disadvantages: Sells out of certain items quite quickly
Halfpriceorless.com has all the excitement of a car boot sale; bargains galore and you never know what you are going to find! Their goods cover a wide range, from food, clothing, watches, medical, personal care, condoms, household and electrical and they seem to change their stock and update the site daily. How do they sell for half price or less? Their stock is sourced from bankrupt stock, short-dated goods (eat it within a week or two of it being delivered), production over-runs, etc. Most seems to be UK-sourced, but I noticed a Kellogg’s cereal from France (with a sticker with the ingredients, etc. in English to comply with EU law), and a pack of 12 Duracell batteries that was destined for Poland. The batteries were dated BBE 2003, so plenty of time to use them! Browsing the departments is simple, if a little slow. You are taken along a “supermarket shelf” and can click on each item for information and ordering. The descriptions are very clear and honest – the Best Before date is always given very clearly. Adding to your basket is simple and delivery charges are a mere £3.59 regardless of the size of your order. There is a caveat; if the order will not fit into two huge boxes 2ft x 2ft x 3ft they reserve the right to contact you with a revised delivery charge! Delivery normally takes 4 to 5 working days – my order arrived on day 5. This is one of those fun sites that I have bookmarked and will revisit regularly. We all like a bargain, and with such a wide range of goods on offer there is bound to be something for everyone.
