Advantages: easy to find and great new ideas

Disadvantages: postage and packaging is a little bit pricey

Stuck on ideas to get for a christmas stocking filler the website came up on a search engine. I had already seen the shop in town and knew how good the products were. A site containing all kinds of gifts from the past was ideal for some nostalgic memories to bring back to the elder members of my family. Not to mention newer items as well!

Hawkins Bazaar is a site jam packed with all kinds of goodies ranging from a jim'll fix it soap on a rope to a flying pig! It is set out in an easy to understand set up, each link clearly displayed so you instantly know where to go and what to do! If you have absoloutly no idea where to even start looking there is a list of 20 pages to choose from. Each one having a name so as to tell you what kind of page you are looking at. These are all shown on the left hand side of the page under the title of 'departments'.

The layout is bright and cheerful in colours of greens, reds and yellows. In the top right hand corner you can see your account status. Showing the amount of products in your basket, the total cost so far and the last item you bought.
Once you have set up an account you can then order a free catalogue which allows you to see any new products without going online!
Also on the right hand side you can see the Hawkins top 10 products. A list of the most popular items bought on the site.
Following this is a list of all the Hawkins Bazaar shops which exist and where they are located, also showing any new ones which are to be opened.
Along the top of the page it gives links to:

HOME BASKET/CHECKOUT MY ACCOUNT/LOG OFF INFO & HELP SHOPS in bold and other mini links underneath it so you fully know where to go if you are stuck.
On the left hand side it includes a quick search, maybe you saw something earlier on and can't remember which section it was under, or you've seen an item on another site and want to see if Hawkins sell it as well!

If you remember the product code you can even type that it and it will come up with the item you are looking for. Each item has a code underneath it so if you can't find it again just type it in the box!
A downfall would be the p& p, always costs about £5 no matter how much your item costs

Following that you have a contact address in case you need to find something out which you don't already know..maybe a complaint or a question.
Overall Hawkins Bazaar is the perfect way of finding items which you wouldn't be able to find anywhere else unless you knew exactly what you wanted. It gives great new ideas suitable for any age!
