The range of stock includes kitchen, bathroom, furniture & homewares, lighting, flooring & tiling, decorating, home electrical, heating & cooling, tools, building & hardware, gardening and outdoor living. The site offers all of the items you would expect to find at Homebase but as with the stores you will find a lot of items are much more expensive than in other retailers and with their delivery rates (Standard and Next day delivery only £5.80. Saturday delivery only £8.70) they are certainly not a cheap opti... more |

I have only ever used the homebase website on one occassion and this was when I had seen a Christmas tree in one of their stores and although it showed as having stock the stock had disappeared so I decided to give the website a shot. The website was well desinged and simple to navigate your way around with an excellent variety of products on offer with the ability to check stock for stores and also have home delivery. The range of stock includes kitchen, bathroom, furniture & homewares, lighting, flooring & tiling, decorating, home electrical, heating & cooling, tools, building & hardware, gardening and outdoor living. Appalling- DO NOT ORDER FROM THIS WEBSITE.
Took a month to deliver. The product arrived and was incorrect. After a week and a half of being constantly told somebody would contact us within 48 hours, we finally got through to someone who then placed the replacement order. They are now informing us that the correct order will take a further 2 weeks to arrive.
When we asked for a refund they told us that bathroom items are non-refundable. We are investigating whether this is allowed under consumer rights etc.
Only use Homebase if you are in no hurry for the items - perhaps if you are looking to build a bathroom in two years time.

We bought a very cheap push along lawn mower when we moved here three years ago, and we've finally decided it's time to buy a new one. One of the wheels is rather dodgy, and it can be very hard work if the grass is even slightly long. The biggest reason though, was that hubby said he would cut the grass more often (i.e. more often than once a year - I do it the rest of the time) if we got an electric one! How could I resist that? We trawled around the DIY shops, thinking that we might get a bargain in the autumn, but were disappointed by what was left. Most of the mowers were too big for our small garden, not to mention outside our (low) ... Read the complete review

Back in the January sales I ordered a dining table and chairs from the Homebase website. Well actually I chose the set from the website but ,unfortunately, could not get the thing to work and had to call them to place the order. It is now 5 month later and I still do not have the table and chairs. At the time of ordering I was told that it would take 8-10 weeks for delivery - I thought this was fair enough and set about decorating the dining room. At 10 weeks I called to ask where it was and was told that it would be delivered withing the next 2 weeks. I called 2 weeks later and was told ,firstly, that they had no record of my order - I had to fax a ... Read the complete review

My husband enjoys DIY, so since we have owned a house together, we have got to know our local Homebase stores very well. Most of the time we go directly to the store when we want to buy something, but twice recently we have had cause to use Homebase’s website. The first time was when we wanted to buy a new lawnmower. The two stores local to us don’t have a large range of lawnmowers, so we looked at the website to see all the different ones Homebase stock. The website itself is very impressive. It says that it carries 14,000 products. I don’t know if that is Homebases full range, but it must be pretty close. It is easy to navigate around the ... Read the complete review
