They say there are two certainties in life - Death and taxes. But I think you can safely add a third, and that is that you will need a bank loan every time you buy an ink cartridge. As the owner of a Lexmark printer I find myself having to fork out £35 for a colour or £32 for a black cartridge respectively. How can the printer manufacturers warrant such high prices for a few pieces of moulded plastic and a couple of fluid ounces of ink? Of course I've tried the alternatives, trying to refill the cartridges myself ended in tears. It is truly amazing how much mess a few drops of ink can make when handled incorrectly. Printer companies make more money from cartridges than they do from printers. Epson printer inks cost over £20. On new models where you have to buy ink for each colour seperately it costs close to £100 to feed the printer. I use any company that provides a good deal on ink. Inkfactory is one that I use often. I have seen cheaper brands on sale at other sites. I buy Inkrite or Jettec brands. On this site I normally get a good deal. I buy when there is buy one get one free offer. Inkrite costs me less than half of what Epson original costs. The quality differance is minor, most of my printing is text so the quality is not ... Read the complete review

Having a printer connected to your computer is a real must these days, but without a cartridge or two it is useless, just like a pen without a refil or a pencil without a lead.
