I heard about Internet-Ink.co.uk via the cashback site wepromiseto.co.uk, so I was confident that it was a reputable website. I have only ever purchased replacement ink cartridges from them, so that is what I'll be reviewing.


THE WEBSITE:

I think the website is well laid out and it is easy to find what you want by either clicking on the brand name of the product you want, or by using the search function.

If you click on a brand name for ink cartridges, then it will show you pictures of different printers by series and then you click on your specific printer, or you can see a page of cartridges listed by number.

As well as selling ink cartridges, they also sell toner, fax machine and franking machine cartridges. You can also buy paper, pens and other computer peripherals such as blank DVDs/CDs and USB sticks.

On the homepage they proudly present the awards they have won from Google Checkout, Ebay and Amazon, so this instils even more confidence in the buyer.


PRICES & DELIVERY:

One of the main reasons I choose to buy from this website is the extremely competitive prices and the free delivery they offer. I buy compatible cartridges for our Canon Pixma MP600R printer, as the original cartridges are just too expensive and we mainly just print out documents in black and white.

I still like to have a full range of colour inks at my disposal, should I ever have the urge to print out a colour photo of my handsome fiancé or print out a T-Shirt design onto the special paper he bought me about 2 years ago in the hope that I would 'get creative'.

So I ordered a Complete Pack of 5 cartridges, which included cyan, magenta, yellow and black, plus the larger black cartridge (don't ask me why the printer needs 2 black cartridges!). This costs £19.99 for 1 pack, but if you buy 2 or more packs then the cost reduces to £18.99 per pack. Compared to the cost of original Canon cartridges (£12.99+ for 1 colour) this is a massive saving! There are different packs available and you can also buy individual compatible cartridges, so the choice is very good.

They claim that their compatible cartridges have a higher capacity with inks formulated for my printer. I don't know if that's true or not, but I don't really care as long as they're significantly cheaper than the originals!

The checkout process is simple and straightforward and you can pay by credit/debit card, Google Checkout or by PayPal. There is the chance to enter a discount code, which I did use as I received a 10% discount code with the confirmation email from my last order.

I placed my order on 11 June 2009 and I received a confirmation email of my order straight away. The following day I received another email informing me my order had been despatched.

I received my order on the 13 June 2009 so they fulfilled their estimate of 1-3 days for delivery. I have always been impressed with their speed of delivery and it's great that it's free! Also included with my order was a handy little sticker with the 10% discount code on it, which doesn't expire so they recommend sticking it on my printer so I don't lose it. But as it's technically my fiancé's printer I won't be spoiling the aesthetics of it by sticking labels onto it (as with most things he owns, I'm just in charge of refilling/cleaning/updating it!).

I've never had a problem using their compatible cartridges for our Canon printer and they do not require any chip replacement, which is great as they are ready to use straight out of the box.
I'm more than pleased with their prices and speed of service and I would thoroughly recommend them.
