Disadvantages: customer service not too reliable in my experience

I have only used intersaver once after I won a £50 voucher to spend on their site. The main problem I had for a couple of weeks after this was that I couldn't actually load many of the pages on their site, although this could be more to do with my computer rather than a problem with them.

When I finally did get to the site I ordered a Hi-fi which including delivery came to a total of £67, a saving of abouut £25 off the high street price even if i hadn't have had the voucher.

From then on I would say the service was ok but not fantastic. I was sent a couple of e-mails firstly to say when they were expecting to deliver the hi-fi and then one giving an exact date. So I made sure I wasn't doing anything that day, only to be e-mailed at about 7pm the night before (leaving it a bit late i felt) to say it would not arrive for another two days.

When it did arrive it came an hour early so it was lucky I was in, when i queried this with them they said that it was out of their control because if the delivery man is in the area he will deliver it anyway. Kind of defeated the point of specifying an exact 3 hour time slot of when it would be delivered.

Anyway the hi-fi was great and I e-mailed them to ask for a check for my £50 voucher to be sent (as they made you pay for it on credit card first for some reason), they kept saying it will be sent in the next couple of days, and then said it had been sent, after I had e-mailed them a few times.

Finally after about nearly 3 weeks I e-mailed them once more and said that I was a struggling student who had just recieved her credit card bill with the intersaver cost on it and would they like to send the cheque right this minute otherwise I won't be able to pay my bill, and funnily enough I got it two days later, and was offered a 5% discount off my next purchase for any inconvenience.

So maybe their customer service isn't too great, but they do offer some good pr
ices, however i would still recommend looking around for other deals before purchasing from intersaver.
