I've been wearing contact lenses for 9 years (since I was 16) and love them, but I found that in the UK compared to Canada (where I'm from originally) that there seemed to be an awful lot of red tape involved. Specsavers for instance does do a contact lens program which involves them sending you contact lenses each month and providing you with fluids, but for the long term contact lens wearer who knows how to put in contact lenses and who knows how to deal with them it really isn't that practical.
