ABOUT Frantically searching the web for a present for "the guy who has everything" can prove to be a great chore and certainly a problem that has faced each and every one of us. Whilst I love buying presents for people you always get the odd person who has everything they need and could possibly ever want... here comes the dilemma... what do you do? Simple I type www.iwantoneofthose.com and it never lets me down! Admittedly I have to say sometimes the presents I purchase aren't always WANTED ...but... they always make people smile! From a gold "last rolo" in a red pouch to experience days this website has a brilliant range of quirky gifts you aren't likely to find on the high street. The website is similar to www.firebox.com and www.notonthehighstreet.com but out of all of the similar sites I have used this is the one I always find myself coming back to. EXAMPLES The website is bright with a purple and white color scheme, well laid out with lots of simple headings and very user friendly. Down the right hand side are the IWWOT top ten, right now these include: 1. Perfect Sit Up @ £54.99 This is an exercise tool to help you with the deathly sit up! 2. PS Vita (Wi-Fi Enabled) @ £239.38 The long awaited new games console 3. Crazy Golf Balls @ £6.99 The set comprises four balls: - The Exploder, blows up into a spectacular cloud of billowing white dust. - The Phantom basically vanishes on impact into a watery mist. - The Jet Streamer ejects 15 feet of spiralling streaming ribbon when thwacked - The Unputtaball simply won't go in a straight line on the green - however you hit it, it wobbles all over the place. 4. My Scratch Map @ £10.99 I think this is a fantastic idea and great for anyone that is planning to travel - all you do is scratch the country each time you go on holiday as though it's a scratch card and it looks brillirant 5. Five Piece Wine Gift Set @ £6.99 This contains: * Spiral Corkscrew * 2x Bottle Stoppers * Bottle Collar * Foil Cutter 6. Retro Sweet Jar - Small @ £11.99 It is what is says on the jar, a perfect present for the old school characters among us 7. Pocket Fishing Rod @ £17.99 A rod if you want a spontaneous fish on the go! 8. Foul Fashion Men's Shirt - Multi @ £27.99 Now this shirt just reminds me of Gerard Butler in The Bounty Hunter - it's the kind of shirt you wouldn't even let your beloved pops wear!! 9. Camera Lens Cup @ £10.99 Again... pretty self explanatory - a cup that looks like a camera lens - great for any photographer lovers - it even has a little compartment for your biccies! What more could you want?! 10. Glowing Glasses - Single Wine @ £5.99 Plastic glowing wine glasses - I might have to purchase for my next camping trick - you will never lose your drink in the dark again! There is a gift finder where all you have to do is input the price you wish to pay, the recipient and their personality for example: Recipient examples: Best friend, dad, co-worker, mistress, little angel Personality examples: Geek, city girl, hot lover, couch potato And then the prices range from under £10 to over £100. WEBSITE FEATURES The returns policy is the same as most - refund within 14 days of purchase and returns are processed within 7 days. They will refund your postage if they send you the wrong item, the item is damaged or faulty. They have a full online returns policy which is easy to understand and thankfully although I have not yet had to return anything looks easy to follow. They also have their own complaints department if you have any further problems. IWWOT have their own newsletter which you can sign up to receive, I personally trialled this and found although it was great to receive the offers and promotions, I didn't want them clogging my inbox all of the time so in the end I unsubscribed. Personally I feel a much better way would be to see these on your online account, that way, they are relevant as you are wanting to shop at that time - I don't need any more temptation!!! A good feature on the site which I think most online retailers are now starting to do is a review feature meaning you can rate and review a product once you have purchased it. This is great because as a lot of the products are quite quirky sometimes you are unsure how the person receiving the gift might react but it's slightly reassuring seeing comments from others. You can also win a £50 voucher from IWWOT if you do! I always try to review the products if possible but unfortunately I haven't yet won!! Overall I would give the site a big recommendation and I would love to hear all the crazy purchases you have made/make!! I hope you have found this useful! Any questions ask away......
I placed an order early dec for My Keepon for £23.99. Received the order some days later which was great, but checked my credit card bill and I was charged twice on 12th and 13th Dec. I sent them a message to which they replied saying the refund would be given and it would take 7 working days.Today its 18th Jan 2012, I sent two more messages later, still no reponse and no refund back into my credit card account. How much customer service am I getting here?! None and I doubt I would get my money back.Be aware, its a hit or miss for this company, think twice before buying from them. I am beyond annoyed but I have been lucky in that it was only around £24 I have lost, but I will NOT be shopping there again! Never again.
I have just discovered this site and am already worried about being addicted and the time I am spending on it! I love the collection of fun and interesting gadgets - gift options have never been easier, yet hard to finally decide. Last week I ordered a How cunning is your cat? gift (under £5) and then ended up buying 3 more for other neighbours and friends. They were delivered to me quickly and easily (with free delivery at times if you're lucky and search some forums) It is so cool, so quirky and just ...well fun! It takes me away from it all on a dull day and I can spend hours just scrolling through - this site comes highly recommended and puts fun back into picking! I almost look forward to friend's birthdays now and already now what some of my Christmas presents will be! (just create a wishlist on site please and my own personal birthday reminders)
The IWOOT site is worth visiting if only to cheer yourself up. The fun, irreverent descriptions of the gadgets and gizmos on offer is delightful, and the team retain a nice personal touch throughout. The site itself is easy to navigate, with drop menus revealing the items in a section in a column down the left, meaning you don't have to scroll down the main page through every product. (though I do, just for the great comments) There's something for everyone, but most of the items on offer would appeal to teenagers or men. Prices start at under a fiver, so there really is the ability to buy something at pocket money prices. The emergency stick on computer button was a great hit with my daughter as were the hot heart hand warmers with her friends at Christmas. In fact I did much of my Christmas shopping on this site, because although the products can be found a little cheaper if you enjoy trawling through gift and gadget sites, I could get most of what I wanted in this one place. And if you have the money for a real fighter jet, this is the place to get it. The fun nature of the site makes you slip into your purse/wallet for your credit card much more effectively than any other gift site I've visited. The check out procedure is simple and quick, and a confirmatory e-mail is sent to you when your order is processed. The delivery service is surprisingly quick, next day in some cases. Packaging is superb, everything arrives in an exciting black box with the IWOOT logo emblazoned on the front. Love it, use it, will use it again!
When it comes to buying anyone a present, I always have a look on this website to find the perfect gift. Much of the stuff for sale here, isn't readily available to buy on the high street or in shopping centres. There are plenty of very unusual gifts, which the recipient has most likely never seen before. There is a huge selection on the website, and you are guaranteed to find something for anybody, any age. One thing i like is that you can select on the website, who you are buying the gift for, e.g girlfriend, you are then shown a huge list of gifts that may be suitable to buy your partner. Other options are, boyfriend, mother, father, daughter, son etc... The prices on the website are very reasonable, with next day delivery only £6.45. For £7.95 they will guarantee the delivery for before 12 mid day! The selection of gifts is incredible, ranging from retro sweet hamers, right up to a Helicopter flight, there really is something for everyone. This Christmas just gone, i got most presents from here. Some of my girlfriends presents included microwavable slippers, a huge blanket & giant stress ball. The stress ball doesn't really get used a lot, although i wish it did, she needs it! The customer service of the website is second to none. I ordered a USB microscope for somebody, and it turned out to be faulty. The website has a 'live chat' facility, where you can speak to a member of staff online, this saves a lot of wasted time with phone calls. Anyway back to the phone microscope, they sent out a freepost bag to return it in, and then issued a refund straight away, no quibble, if only more shops were like this. The payment options are very good, Paypal is accepted, and so are all major credit and debit cards. It's no wonder this site wins so many awards for its service. There is a slight problem though, when you are on the site, you end up buying stuff for the sake of it, just because it looks good, e.g a USB fridge, and a computer keyboard that can go in the dishwasher, and speakers that float... The list goes on!! I cannot recommend this website enough, If you are looking for the perfect gift, you will definitely find one here. My girlfriend will never receive the usual earrings or perfume again!
With me being a gadget man, I love this site, I stubbled across it a few years ago and it is brilliant, it sells all types of gadgets, toys and games for inside and outside for your children. Things for the home, mugs, glasses and clocks which all are very rare to find and kind of a novelty type of products, that can easily be given for a gift for someone who loves something different or just for yourself as a treat. It can be found at www.iwantoneofthose.com and as it says in the title it is for what you want. It is a good delivery time and price and the price is £4.95 for a standard delivery of 1 to 3 days or a premium delivery for £7.95 which is the next day delivery if you want it to arrive even faster, if it is ordered between 8am and 12pm it will be shipped out for this speedy time and it is guarandeed. I order on the standard and I have received mine the next day so I would advise to save money to place a standard and it will come in probably the same length of time. They do special experiences such as pamper days and flying and ballooning, although these can a little expensive they are ideal for a gift for a loved one for a special birthday or christmas present. They even have events for couples and small children to have a good time. The venue is stated when you order these type of products. There are lots to choose from for men and women to teens and families to enjoy. I think it is a very good site and good value for money on most of what is found there. Give it a try and see if you can find that really special item or gift for someone you love or just as a treat for yourself. I rate it 5 stars
I stumbled across this website whilst looking for a birthday present for a male friend and have been hooked on it ever since. To be brutally honest it is filled with a lot of crappy toys that you don't really need but really really want. So far, i have purchased some Cubeworld, tamagotchi esque things and some wine goblets that have a base that lights up. I also had some Oggz bought for me from there for my birthday after lots of hinting to my friends. The service from IWOOT was good. I received my items in perfect condition, very well packaged, just 2 days after I ordered them. I currently have my eye on the fatboy bean bags they sell but i am too skint from christmas. IWOOT is wonderful if you are struggling to come up with gift ideas. They even have a gift finder facility online to help you in your quest for the perfect present. They also sell different experiences and adventures. Kind of similar to Red Letter Days, for example. (Taken from my Ciao profile)
I actually want one of those!! This is an on-line shop that sells all sorts of gadgets and unusual gifts for those tricky people who are enormously hard to buy for. I started using this a few months ago whilst I was looking for a gift for my sister. I actually had a £5.00 gift code but I can honestly say, that did not go very far! You are guaranteed to find something crazy and out of the ordinary so it is worth the look! First Impressions When I first loaded up the website, I was pleased to see that it was laid out in a plain but appealing kind of way. I liked how they had made it a little Christmas like by putting a hat on one of the letters of the brand name! The site has 7 useful links around the site which are located at the top of the page which is great. Stock The site actually has a gift finder which is very useful. You can put in what you want and it will search the site. I really could not list everything they sell but some of the products are: Fridge magnet photo frame 6 in 1 solar robot Retro sweets hamper And Lots More... Price The site actually states money...No object! But I do actually find this website is quite expensive and beyond my budget at times. I like how they do discounts and codes but this is not really worth it when the prices are high. Delivery You can choose which delivery you would like but you do have to pay from around £2.99! This compared to play.com which has free delivery is not as good. I looked at this site for gifts and extras and I would recommend this site for that purpose only otherwise it will get a little expensive! 4/5 From me. Holly x
Iwantoneofthose.com is an interesting site that specialies in all manner of strange novelty items and is basically like an online version of 'The Gadget Shop' outlets that grace larger shopping centres around the country. The items the website stocks are varied and numerous, ranging from multi-coloured, battery-powere 'mood-cube' lights, a microwavable polar bear stuffed toy that doubles as a bed-warmer, and an indoor duck-hunter game consisting of a battery-powered flying ornithopter and a light-gun. There are loads of items to choose from and each item also comes with user-generated reviews (as with Amazon), and the site's customer service has always been fast and reliable in my experience. The site stocks loads of items that make ideal christmas presents, but unfortunately they tend to be very expensive, especially considering that they are jsut selling cheap novelty items at the end of the day. Nevertheless the site is colourful, professoinally maintained and easily navigable and their wide range of items means that there is something for everyone here regardless of age, and to be honest it can be fun just browsing through the innovative and inventive range of items without actually buying anything. Overall iwantoneofthose.com is a good site tahts worth a look for anyone struggling to buy a present for a friend or relative, but dont expect the experience to be a particularly cheap one.
Iwantoneofthose.com is a site that in products available and its features can be compared to those found at hawkins bazaar with quirky gadgets and fun accessories and gifts and can be aptly summed up by their slogan 'stuff you don't need...but really, really want'. The site is really easy to navigate around and breaks its products down into 6 sections; New Arrivals, Gadgets and Gizmo's, Toys and Games, Lifestyle and Home, Kitsch and Daft & Great Gifts. The range of products are vast, from a £4.99 'Waboba Ball' to a £249 'Swap mobile phone watch'. This site is great for providing extensive descriptions and features of the product with a number of photos and with selected items, and accompanying video. It is also possible to read reviews of the product here, so you will feel as though you know everything there is to know before making the decision to purchase the item. If you are looking for gifts for someone and aren't sure what to get, the site offers a 'gift finder' feature that allows you to search products based on recipients; personality (includes; couch potato, geek, traditionalist, happy hippy, etc) relationship to the recipient, occasion and the amount of money you would like to spend (<£10, £10-£20, £20-£50, £50-£100, £100-£250, or money is no object). There are no shipping costs (As long as it is being delivered within the mainland UK) if you are willing to wait 1-3 days, or you can choose to pay £6.45 to have it delivered between 8am-6pm the next working day or an additional £7.95 for delivery between either 8am-noon, or noon-6pm the following working day. These options are only available Mon-Fri, however the option for delivery on a Saturday is available at a cost of an additional £9.95.
Iwantoneofthose is the ultimate site with stupid toys. There is honestly nothing you need here, but when you go on the site, you will want everything. They have some great items, some maybe a bit odd, but you will always find something you love. There are loads of items you can buy, from cheaper presants, to more expensive gifts that really are nice. The best thing about the site, is the fact it has so many wierd and odd things, that there is always something that you will find that you love. There is loads of gifts for people on this site, and thanks to a handy gift finder, it makes finding gifts for people easy. They do a section just for small gifts at christmas, but its not hard to find something you know other people will love. They offer a free gift-wrapping service, but I would wrap my own personally. But the most impressive thing is there postage service. My items have always came undamaged, and in impressive time. I normally get my items within 1-3 days, and thats with £2.59 service. They do offer a number of services, with the best being next day delivery. I have to say, the one time I did use this, it came in very useful, and I did get the items in the time they said I would. If you are looking for a gift, for birthdays, christmas, or whatever event, its worth looking here. It is the best gift site on the internet in my opinion, with great shipping, and some very very odd but wonderful gift ideas. Some may be a wee bit expensive, but they all are wonderful ideas.
I love this site it does exactly what it says on the site its full of things you don't really need but you'll really want to own. This site is very easy to navigate, it split into various sections like toys and games, gadgets and gizmo's or you can search by various price rangers which is good. It also has a gift finder, simply choose the occasion, the recipient and their personality and the gift finder will throw up lots of ideas for you. I find this very helpful, great when your trying to shop for the person who has everything. All the products have good descriptions and photographs but as an added bonus many products have a video's too as well as customers own reviews which is really helpful. The only down side is that the prices are pretty expensive and standard delivery is £4.95 on top. It is easy and straight forward to create an account and pay they have a secure payment system. I was lucky enough to have a gift voucher to redeem and that was easy just type in the voucher code and pin and it comes off your total order. I'm treating myself to a funky purse designed like 70's Y fronts it looks fab. The service was fantastic I ordered wednesday evening got a dispatch email thurday morning and the product arrive friday morning. Just beware when buying gift vouchers they don't count towards postage so if your buying for a mate they'll have to fork out the postage cost themselves. If you send IWOOT a review of the product you bought you could win a £50 IWOOT Gift Voucher. Every month they pick a winner from each category.
I want one of those is a really great sight which has thousands of great products. It is very easy to use and has some great bonus features such as the gift finder, which is great at narrowing down the HUGE amount of items on there website. There is also a birthday reminder service which is very useful. THis is one of my favorite websites because it is perfect for pressies for those really hard people to buy for. The delivery service is also very good and I have always been really pleasantly surprised by how speedily my items arrived. I did have a problem with the colour of one of my orders once but i went onto livehelp the feature and my problem was solved almost instantly and they sent me the right item which arrived within a few days. I really recommend this website for all your gift needs, there is just so much to chose from I have never been disappointed.
I want one of those is a wonderful online company. It specialises in gadgets, and seems to increase its range all the time. They sell the weirdess of items on here, like a lump of coal at christmas, to spacetravel in the future. I find this website really easy to navigate, and they have a good search facility, that is good if you are looking for a gift for a specific gender, age, price range etc. Pricewise they are very competitive and i find they often have sales on, which can be very good indeed. Placing an order is really straightforward, and after adding the items to your basket and clicking through to the payment page, your orders complete. They send you a confirmation email regarding your order, and normally you will receive your items with a few days. They always arrive well packaged, as yet ive not had any problems with any items. Last christmas however, i ordered a few things, and one item was out of stock, i waited weeks and weeks, and nothing. Not only this but they didnt send me the other items i'd ordered either. I was getting concerned, so i emailed them and asked them if they could send the other items that were in stock. I was annoyed firstly that they said yes, but i;d have to pay delivery twice, then they told me that one of the items i'd ordered was now sold out. I did complain, as had they processed my order when i placed it, this item was in stock and i would have received it. Anyhow, eventually they did agree to send me the items free of charge, and then a week later i also received the second item i was waiting so long on. This was a one of incident however, as generally they are wonderful, and ive always found everything to be spot on, and if your looking for something unusual this is the place to go.
Iwantoneofthose.com, otherwise affectionately known as IWOOT, is one of the older and most popular of the online gadget shops. In their words, the stuff they sell is stuff you don't need, but really, really want - because apparently everyone wants a Borat mankini. They have a vast range of products from the relatively ordinary (bar gadgets like cocktail shakers, bottle openers etc.) to the downright insane. For example, they used to sell a real fighter jet (ex Soviet, I believe) for £150,000 or so until they were ordered to remove it from the website due to "health and safety concerns". After all, who amongst us hasn't lost a loved one to a disarmed fighter jet purchased from an internet website? There have been several other products which have caused problems, for example, a knife block called the "All Men Are Bastards" knife block, which was a morph-like figurine with holes in for the knives. However, that product is still available, despite protests that it apparently engenders female-on-male violence. Seriously. The site is well laid out and easy to use and navigate. It is often used for purchasing gifts and as a result has a gift suggesting widget - you tell it who you are buying for, (girlfriend, parent etc.), give a price limit and tick a few boxes of things they are interested in (pampering products, outdoors, boys toys etc.) and it gives you a list of suggestions. However, the cons are that the items are very expensive (although they do offer an NUS discount if you have an NUS Extra card for 10%), as is delivery, being just under a fiver for the cheapest option. This is a flat rate irregardless of how many items you purchase, but considering that you will normally only be buying a couple of things at a time it can really add onto the cost. With a little effort, you can normally find the item you want elsewhere cheaper and for cheaper delivery. The main thing is, most of what IWOOT sells is just naff gift ideas - the kind of thing where if you get given them as a present, you think, "cool, how hilarious", and then never look at again. IWOOT is better than many of these online gadget retailers as there are useful things for sale as well, and in fact I have purchased some really good things from there - a thermo-sensitive mug for my fiancee, for example, which is black with the words "OFF" written on it and when it contains a hot liquid it turns white with the letters "ON" written on it (so you know if your beverage is still drinkable or not - a device anyone who has ever unknowingly taken a gulp of stone cold tea will appreciate), and a useful little tripod thing for my camera which also allows you to hold the camera away from you at a distance so you can take a picture of yourself easily (it is called the Quik Pod if you want to look for it), but you have to go through an awful lot of dross to find it. Then again, why shouldn't we spend our money on these fripperies? They can be fun and amusing, but all I can say is that when you get right down to it, there was absolutely no excuse to make the Borat mankini the best-selling Christmas present of 2008.
