Paying for a Saturday delivery with John Lewis Direct has turned out to be a big mistake. Their couriers (is it Business Post or City Link? I don't think they know) failed to deliver on the Saturday and made no attempt to contact me. I intend to concentrate on my recent purchase from John Lewis direct, however I did find that the stock here is as comprehensive as their High Street stores. The lay out and content of the pages is excellent and the entire online shop is extremely easy to use. I'd previously researched the item I needed to buy, a cooker, my existing 16 year old was dying in a slow and unpredictable way and I knew exactly the make and model I wanted. I first used the johnlewis.com site because I had a voucher for £10 off. On that occasion I bought an item worth £20.00, the minimum amount I could spend using the voucher. It was a Swiss Army knife, actually. At the time it seemed to be a very competitive price. Delivery charges needed to be added on - £3.95 for standard delivery. If you buy more than £150 worth there is no charge for delivery.
