Advantages: Cheap, free delivery

Disadvantages: Customier service no good,no advice about stock levels

**Updated**

I have had dealings with Jungle about four or five times, although this doesn’t mean that I’ve bought from them four or five times! The first was a very enjoyable experience, when I ordered a nice new Creative soundcard in January of 2000. Delivery was a bit slow, but saving £10 on the next cheapest price at the time, as well as free delivery, I was not overly worried. I received free software of my choice (from a limited choice of 4 packages, admittedly) which was also quite nice of them.

Since then however, things have been very different. Trying in April to buy a graphics card seemed to be going ok, but the one I wanted was out of stock. While waiting for new stock to arrive (they were ordering one in especially for me – a Creative TNT2 card if memory serves) my credit card went out of date. When the graphics card finally arrived in stock, they tried to swipe my credit card to no avail. Then they sent me an email telling me that my order was cancelled. This was during a workday, so I didn't get the email until that evening. Less than 24 hours since they emailed me, I phoned their customer service to explain the problem, and to supply my new details.

I was told by the person in Customer service that I would have to re-order the card as the order had been cancelled. When I told her that it had been ordered in especially for me, and it hadn't been featured on their web site for a few weeks, she checked stock levels. This was when she informed me that they didn't have ANY of the graphics card I had ordered in stock. She suggested I ordered another card. It had taken so long for Jungle to get the card into stock that the card was basically obsolete, and the newer GeForce cards were dropping in price (although not at Jungle admittedly, so I took my business elsewhere). Over the course of a few phones calls around this time, I made sure that my card details were up to date with Jungle by not only inf
orming them via email, but phoning their customer service line and quoting my details across the phone.

About a month after that debacle, I decided to give them another go, after all it wasn't all their fault the previous time with my card expiring. I wanted a joypad, and having read some reviews in magazines, decided that a particular Logitech one looked quite good. I placed the order, after checking that my details were correct and that the joypad was in stock, settled down to wait for the delivery.

Coming home from work the next day, and checking my email, I expected to see a message from Jungle telling me that they'd despatched my joypad. But no! My order had been cancelled, less than 12 hours after I'd placed it. No reason was given for this. I then phoned customer service again, and after explaining what the problem was, I was told that the person who I had to deal with was not around, and could I phone back. I then suggested that the problem lay at their end because my card details were correct (and I had plenty of money in my bank account), and could the person responsible contact me by email so that we could work things out.

I'm still waiting for that email!

Total Agree, Jungle Messed Me Around when they sent me the OEM grahics card and not the boxed version that I ordered. Terrible Customer Service Cost me £5 in phone calls and Still only got a refund not what I wanted they couldn't give me the boxed version as it went up in price. Not my problem..... Never buy from them again.
