WHAT IS IT?
Kiddicare.com is a website (and physical store) that sells all kinds of baby, children's and maternity products.
They basically sell anything you could ever possibly need for your baby, including; car seats, cots, nursery furniture, changing bags, potties, nappies, baby food, baby toiletries, pushchairs, highchairs, toys and so much more! Pretty much anything you can think of!
I am lucky enough to live near the actual store so can pop in any time I like as well as using the kiddicare.com website. Up until very recently this was the only one in the country despite being one of the top baby stores. Recently they have built a few new stores.
EASE OF USE
The website is extremely easy to use and is split into different sections:
*Prams, buggies and twins
*Car seats and carriers
*Cots, beds, furniture
*Nappies, clothing, bedding
*High chairs, feeding, sterilisers
*Stair gates, playpens, monitors
*Toys, books and swings
Each one of these sections is then split down into more sub-sections. They have such a huge selection of baby products! There is also a search engine so you can just search for a specific item instead of looking through the categories.
Kiddicare.com, the actual store, is set out in a way that it is very easy to find what you're looking for. It has three floors.
The bottom floor is for car seats, high chairs, toys and outdoor toys, potties and nappies and general smaller baby products like baby food and baby toiletries. The cafe is also located on this floor.
The first floor is full of prams, buggies and strollers. There are loads of them! So much choice, these are all split into sections of different brands just like the website.
The 2nd floor is full of cots, cot beds, toddler beds and nursery furniture.
It is a huge place!
I have been going to Kiddcare.com and ordering online from it regularly since I first found out I was expecting my daughter, so over four years now and it has always been great value. Most things are very competitively priced and they also run a price match guarantee so if you find one of their products cheaper elsewhere they will match it and give you a years guarantee on the product from the day you buy it or your child's due date (really good service if you buy your pram early on in your pregnancy!)
I took them up on the price match when buying my silver cross pram. The staff were really lovely and had no problems with it at all.
The also always seem to have a different sale on so you can always get a good deal. When you first go on to the kiddicare.com website, the first thing that flashes up is SALE so always good to check for some bargains!
Kiddicare offer free delivery on all orders over £29.99, If you spend any less than that the delivery charge is £4.95. A little steep i guess, compared to some other online shops.
Kiddicare.com tell you when your order is going to be delivered and send you regular text updates to give you an exact time. You can also track your order on the website.
Whenever I have ordered from kiddicare they have always delivered when they say they will and have never been late!
I think their delivery service really is excellent!
CAR SEATS & PUSHCHAIRS
As with everything Kiddicare sell, they have a huge range of car seats available.
They have trained car seat staff who can advise you of what seat is best for your child, when they need upgraded and which are best fitting for your type of car.
They will also try them out in your car for you to help you decide and after you've purchased they will fit it in securely for you if you want so you know it has been fitted safely.
Again, with the pushchairs, all the staff know how they all work and what you need to know. They can show you all the features and how to fold down and put back up all the pushchairs and they always seem happy to help.
Also on the website are demonstration videos for fitting their car seats and for all the features of their prams. Very helpful!
I love kiddicare! I think you can get pretty much anything you want for your baby at a really reasonable price and delivered to your door if you choose to.
They have never let me down and I will continue to use them and recommend!
5 out of 5 from me!
Thank you for reading

Do not purchase if you value your child's life! I purchased a car seat from Kiddicare as my little boy outgrew his first - long baby! We installed it in the back seat of the car and went about business. After a few days I did not like him being in the back as the head is poorly supported and I wanted to keep an eye on him. The next day however, he managed to lift the buckle on the car seat and out fell a spring! I grabbed it quickly before he ate it - if he had been in the back it would have been in his mouth and choking him! Shocked and upset I contacted kiddicare regarding this. All they offered to do was refund, and after lots of emails a £20 gift card. Now due to this I could not go out, as the little one has to come everywhere. Im self employed and he comes to work with me - I lost £225 minimum of work. My partner doesn't drive and I have to take him - taxi fares cost £60. Then we had to buy a new seat £30. And I could not take my son to weighing, to see family, days out... Kiddicare have to collect the seat (which will be next week) and then I will have to wait for a refund, which will take at least a week to clear with my bank. I told them £20 was simply not enough to cover my losses but was told to get legal representation if I wanted to get more. What parent has money for this? They clearly do not care about customers health, safety or emotions. We have photographed and video taped this negligence and are contacting relevant safety authorities to prevent other families going through this. This company seem neglectful, do not value individual custom and I certainly will never be using them again. Avoid if you value your child's life!
I used kiddicare.com on Saturday to order a carseat and a changing mat. I was very happy with the prices that I paid for these, the carseat was £59.99 and the changing mat was £9.99. The products seemed to be very well made, we were determined to use an established name for the carseat as this is one of things that needs to keep the baby safe.
The website is very easy to find, just type kiddicare into google and a the first link will be the one for the websites homepage. You can create an account if you wish, this and logging in can be done at the very top of the webpage, the options to do this, track your order, sort returns, connect to a social networking site such as twitter and facebook, search by brand or searching using a key term or item name are on the right of the Kiddicare.com logo inside a darker purple box, to the right of this again is your basket which keeps a running total of items you are purchasing and the overall cost. It also gives you the option to checkout.
It is very easy to find what you are looking for on the website, if you know exactly what it is you want then you can search for it and the site will bring up either that exact product or a number of categories that the product may be in. If you are more interested in browsing the site then this can be done using the drop down menu's underneath the kiddicare.com logo, these are present on every page you go onto so it you don't need to keep going back to the homepage everytime you want to find something new.
The website is split into a lot of categories. For example, to get to the birth to 12 month carseats you will need to use the drop down menu carseats, carriers. You then select birth to 12 month. The page will now display all of the birth to 12 month carseats. Along the left hand side there are advanced search options. You can search by colour, by package, by brand, by price, by customer rating or by sale category. Also along the left hand side they have recommended products in the category you have chosen, I tend to ignore these on the kiddicare website as they are only ever the more expensive items on the site.
At this stage you will see a list of products that match your search options, each of these show a picture, the full name of the product, the age it is suitable for, a sentence of a customer review, overall customer star rating, the option to compare it with others, the price from kiddicare, the RRP, how much you are saving and the option to put it into your basket. Once you have found the product you most like the look of just click on the name and it will open up full product information on a new page.
The product information page is always very extensive on the Kiddicare site. It will tell you literally everything about the product. A brief description, features, specifications, related products and customer reviews.
I think that the customer reviews on this website are one of the best parts of it, they are always well detailed and provide information that the site does not think important enough to put on. For example, I have been told that when my baby is born she is going to be much smaller than average, because of this we were looking for something with a lot of extra support and the car seat we have chosen for her has full body inserts of different sizes starting from very small, we only knew this because of the customer review.
After choosing the items that I wanted to buy I just clicked onto the checkout option, it will then take you to a page to review your basket, when you are sure that everything is correct you can go ahead with the purchase. There are a few different payment options given on the site like paypal, credit or debit card or entering a promotional code, I think that you can also order over the phone. I brought my items using paypal. All I had to do was put in my paypal account details and the delivery and billing address and the payment went right through.
It is roughly £5 to pay for express delivery with the website but I opted out of this and instead just chose the free option, because of this I was not expecting to recieve my order (that I placed on Saturday) for at least a week. I was pleasantly surprised however when I recieved a text message on Sunday night telling me that my order was on its way and I would recieve another text when it was closer. I did not get another text but luckily I was home all day on Monday so I was there when the items were delivered.
After taking them out of the box I am very happy that they look exactly as they did on the website, everything is clean and in perfect condition and the car seat has even come with 2 free sun visors for car windows, I was not expecting these.
Overall I am very happy with the quick and incredibly easy kiddicare.com website and would whole heartedly recommend it to anyone. Take a bit of time to read the customer reviews as you will often get a lot of additional information and don't bother with the express delivery. Mine came just as quickly using the free option.
I find the prices on this website to be incredibly reasonable especially considering the excellent quality of the products.
If I encounter a problem with either of my items I will be contacting kiddicare about it and will update this review accordingly.
Disappointed and shocked!
I have shopped with Kiddicare before, without a problem and without the need to conatct 'customer service'.
My latest purchase a 'Baby weavers expedition back carrier' proved, very quickly to be unsafe. The instructions are appalling and carrier itself would not hold my child in place. We tried every combination of positions, but couldn't keep her safe. The 'slipping' resulting in possible choking by the straps.
On a more basic front the carrier is of very poor quality so the rrp is questionable, as item probably not even worth the sale price.
Customer service has proved to be unprofessional and pretty much a waste of time.
I have refered all the above consumer direct and trading standards
Item is to be inspected by Trading Standards.
Having to fight for refund, but main concern is safety problems with goods.
Delvery prompt, but would argue that due to interlink not kiddicare
As a first time parent where to shop and what to buy is a minefield there is so much to choose from and its when reviews really come into place when you use other people's opinions to help make your decision.
I was aware of Kiddicare.com as they sponser various reality tv shows on ITV and ITV2 and when we decided to get a different cot to the one we had ordered Kiddicare offered us the next best alternative.
Kiddicare were established in 1974 and it is a family run business and the largest privately owned nursery and baby supplier in the UK, located in Peterborough, Kiddicare operate out of a 60,000 square foot warehouse where you can browse products online and ask for advice from the staff employed there.
The website is well designed and split into a wide range of categories;
Prams, buggies and twins
Car seats and carriers
Cots, Beds and furniture
Nappies, clothing and bedding
High Chairs, feeding and sterilisers
Stairgates, playpens and monitors
Toys, bouncers and swings
Each category is then split into sub categories to help you find exactly what you are looking for.
Alternatively to the top of the web page is a drop down menu to allow you to select your chosen brand or if you have the name of the product you can type it into the box and search.
Most products are rated by customers who have also purchased this item and some items even come with a user guide video which is really hand especially if you want to know how to use something fast!
We had purchased a cot from Mothercare but changed our mind at the last minute and decided to purchase the Baby Weaver cot from Kiddicare and I have to say if I can use Kiddicare for everything then I will from now on.
The cot we purchased had a 5* rating from customers and a lot of positive comments which really reassured us with our purchase as choosing a cot is really hard especially when you have never had to think about purchasing one before and one of the main reasons we changed our minds about the cot from Mothercare was because of the poor reviews that product had.
To place your order simply select the item that you wish to purchase and add it to your basket, you do not need to register first to be able to do this.
The shopping basket is always located to the top of the right hand corner and you can return here at any time. When you are ready to check out you simply need to click on the shopping basket and here you have the option to express check out or to login/register.
As we had never used the site before and were unsure if we were going to make another purchase online we decided to opt for the express check out option.
As we selected this option we were taken through to select the method of payment we preferred to use these are;
Kiddicare Checkout was the method that we used and here it is simply using your credit or debit card to pay for your items. The website uses a secure server so that all date I provide is then encrypted which prevents my details being intercepted. Kiddicare also used the Visa/Mastercard farud protection on their site as well were you are required to enter your registered password to make payment on your card.
To ensure you are making a payment on a secure site there should always be a padlock to the bottom right corner of the web page.
You will be required to first input the cardholders billing address for the first address field and you then have the option to put an alternative delivery address.
The delivery service from Kiddicare is outstanding and I personally have never experienced anything like this before! Once our order was completed we were emailed confirmation of our order, we were also required to enter our mobile number so that a text message could be sent to confirm the date for delivery. Kiddicare offer a 1 hour time slot delivery service which is fantastic. As we placed our order on a Sunday delivery was expected on the Tuesday but this was not suitable for us so when we received the text to advise that our item was ready to be delivered on Tuesday we had the option to text back to arrange an alternative day. As I was off work I opted for the Wednesday and on the Wednesday morning I received another text message confirming the delivery would be between 11.34am and 12.34pm and my delivery arrived at 11.44am absolutely excellent, so I was then free to carry on with the rest of my day!
The items I ordered came well packaged and the service was excellent so much so we have ordered many items from the site since.
If you are looking for items for your child take a look on here, they offer a low price guarantee and if you do find it cheaper they pricematch for you.
With free delivery on items purchased over £29 its fantastic value for money!
I am relatively new to the kiddicare website having come across it in searching for a travel cot. Kiddicare is a website that sells a large variety of items for your child from prams to toys and many things in between.
The website is set out clearly with the logo at the top and a row of categories for items underneath. You have the option to select a specific brand you are looking for or search for an item and look at what they have in stock. Under each heading there are sub-categories to choose from so you can be quite specific and narrow down your search fairly easily.
The website is colourful but not overbearingly so and it is easy to navigate. On the homepage they display the latest deals and offers they have on which is helpful as you can find some good bargains. At the bottom of the homepage there are a number of options to look at customer services topics, and it also details what payment types they accept.
I like this website very much for shopping for baby items. Once you have decided on the item you want, the list of what they stcok comes up with reviews from other customers which we all know are very helpful when you want a first hand opinion! The other great thing about kiddicare is their customer service. They are quick to deliver, being one of the few websites that gives you a one hour delivery slot as standard so that you don't have to wait in all day for your order to arrive. Also if you order before 5pm they give you next day delivery. They have always delivered to me on time within the one hour slot I have been given which is an absolute credit to the site.
Purchasing items is easy, you just put them in the basket and when you come to pay you can either be a registered user or just use the quick checkout which removes the long process involved in registering for a website.
Overall I believe this is a great place for kids stuff. It offers a great selection of items in a vast array of categories, all items arrive in great condition and very quickly. The website is very user friendly and I have never been disappointed with the service.
Whilst I was pregnant, a friend recommended Kiddicare to me, but being in that mind fogged state of not knowing exactly what I needed to buy, or which advice I was to listen to, I promptly forgot all about it.
Several months down the line, with baby now arrived and the realisation that shopping trips would never be the same again, on line baby shopping for essentials became a necessity. Luckily, I remembered the advice given and started to look at the Kiddicare website.
The website is bright and cheerful and draws you in to want to have a good look around the site. If you know what you are looking for, there are tabs at the top of the website that can quickly take you to the correct part of the site - prams, car seats etc etc.
Alternatively, there are key word searches or brand searches, both of which work quickly and don't throw up any dodgy links (well, not that I have discovered anyway).
Once you have selected the area that you are interested in, you can then chose how you want to view your results - price high to low, low to high, ratings, or best selling. There are also clear colour photos on each listing, so if you have seen what you want somewhere else you can quickly identify that you are looking at the right one.
If you see a particular product you want to look at, there is lots of clear, information listed, from the item specfics to reviews writtem by purchasers.
As well as the snazzy website, where Kiddicare wins hands down are the discounts it offers - we saved £50 on the car seat we bought through them (as opposed to the cheapest other retailer we found) - certainly a saving not to be sniffed at.
The checkout procedure is quick and easy to use, and our packages have all been received promptly with no problems at all. I can't comment on the customer service team, a I have never had call to use them, but I guess that is a good sign in itself.
If you need to purchase baby things and are keen to get the best price, have a look at kiddicare - if you can find anywhere cheaper, let me know!
I was on the look out for a car seat for when I need to pick my baby niece up as well as wanting to price up pushchair. I was having a look around the internet when I remembered my friend Kimbles' recommendation of Kiddicare.com.
Kiddicare.com describes itself as "The UK's Favourite Baby Website" and it may well be, considering the range of products they sell. They sell practically everything you can think of that you might need for a baby or toddler and even for parents-to-be - from prams and buggies (including twin, tandem and triple buggies), car seats and carriers, cots and beds, stair gates and playpens to nappies and clothing, sterilisers and high chairs, toys and rocking horses, and much more!
All of the products on the website are partitioned into useful sections, so its easy to find what you are looking for. Each section has "Featured Categories" such as "Top Rated", "Easy to set-up/install", "Package Deals", "Sale" and many more. You can also choose from colour range, age bracket and price range.
The Home page of the website will let you know if any sales are on (I've often found they've got some kind of sale on) as well as featuring certain brands and sale products. It also includes links to helpful information such as FAQs, Shipping Information, Terms & Conditions, Customer Service, Returns, etc.
Kiddicare.com also have a price match policy in which their website says "If you have already purchased from kiddicare.com and, within 7 days you find the same product cheaper, let us know and we'll refund the difference... plus up to 15% of the difference for good measure." Their price promise includes recognised stockists and recognised Ebay store (though not individual sellers), which I think is great.
Anyway, the car seat I wanted had a recommended retail price (RRP) of £90, but Kiddicare were selling it in their sale for £40. It did everything I wanted and had the safety features required, all at a great price. And the best part? Kiddicare accept Paypal (as well as Google Checkout and the usual debit/credit cards) and just that morning I'd been given cashback from Quidco, so I only had to pay £25 for the car seat in the end!
I had to pre-order the particular car seat I wanted as Kiddicare were expecting them in a couple of weeks later (this was clearly stated on the product page along with an expected date for the arrival of stock). At the time, Kiddicare had an offer on in which they give you a free triple pack of window shades for the car (worth £20), which I thought was very good of them. Of course, its free advertising for Kiddicare too as the window shades come printed with Kiddicare.com on them, but I don't mind that, after all they're free! I also received free delivery as my order was over £29.99.
The product pages of the Kiddicare.com website include reviews of Kiddicare.com in general as well as reviews on that particular product by people who have bought it from the Kiddicare.co website. The reviews are very honest too, so Kiddicare don't screen them out. Also, in some cases, you can take a closer look at the product (e.g. zoom into the picture) and even view a helpful product video (usually showing the item being assembled and/or used).
I registered for a Kiddicare.com account (very easy and self-explanatory - and you receive an email thanking you for registering) and then went through the checkout to buy the car seat, again this was simple and I had the choice of how I wanted to pay (as I mentioned, I went with Paypal). After payment, I received an email from Paypal confirming I had authorised a payment to Kiddicare, as well as an order receipt from Kiddicare stating the details of the order. It was then a case of waiting.
In the mean time, I had a query for Kiddicare, so I used the contact form on their website. It was after hours, so I wasn't expecting a swift reply. However, I received a reply to my query first thing the next morning, so I was happy with their customer service.
A couple of days after the expected stock arrival date I received an email from Kiddicare to say that my order had been dispatched and that it would be with me the next day. The email contained a link with which I could track my order and another to re-arrange delivery. I knew somebody would be home to wait for the delivery so I didn't need to re-arrange it.
Upon checking my emails first thing the following morning, I received an email (at 7.36am) stating that my delivery would arrive between 9.36am and 10.36am that day (apparently you can get this by text message too, but I hadn't given them my mobile number). I was surprised, how many companies can give you that kind of timing? Most say it will arrive between 9am and 5pm. Anyway, what truly amazed me was the fact the that delivery actually arrived at 9.45am... just 9 minutes into the delivery slot time! This left the rest of the day free for Dad to go and do whatever he wanted, rather than having to wait in all day which is what you have to do most of the time while waiting for a delivery to arrive (and sometimes they don't even arrive that day!). Also, the box containing the car seat was in very good condition and obviously hadn't been bashed about (as some packages and parcels can be). The car window blinds and an instruction booklet were also in the car seat box. For the record - Kiddicare use Interlink to deliver their goods.
So, would I buy from Kiddicare.com again? Of course! In fact, I've been taking a look around the website today. With such a wide range of baby stuff, I always make sure I get a price from Kiddicare.com even if I've found an item elsewhere (such as on Amazon). Kiddicare.com have swift delivery and a brilliant delivery service (as described above), good customer service and a wide range of products. I would recommend them to anyone looking to buy items for babies or toddlers.
On a side note: Kiddicare have a massive showroom at Peterborough if you prefer to buy in person.
Have used Kiddicare 3 times now and would use them again.
Kiddcare.com, I do find their website a bit busy, there is lots going on, mostly adverts for deals which is great because it helps you spot them but I do sometimes think it's a bit much, However it is easy to search for what you need with toolbars to the left and a search button on the right by product name or number or brand name.
*My experience in ordering*
The first time it was my partner who placed the order for a Britax car seat, we chose Kiddicare as the car seat is £99.97 which is the cheapest we found it, rrp is £149.99. So no problem finding the seat and putting the order through however my partner made an error as he was ordering with my credit card and at the time I had not switched my cardholder address over so my partner keyed in the wrong one forgetting that I hadn't yet changed it, so on the confirmation screen it said there was a problem and they would contact us.
They however did not contact us so I contacted them concerned over what had happened as I didn't want to re-order unless I was charged twice. The girl on the phone did apologise and said the order had been cancelled and I should re-order. - Problem sorted and it was of course our error to begin with!
The other 2 times I've ordered I've had no problems at all.
I am very impressed with their delivery service, if you order before 5pm then you will receive your orders the next working day, and if you give them your mobile number they even send you a text to say what day it will arrive and if you wish to text back and change the day then you can.
Also just to point out that they don't use royal mail so state on their website that delivery will not be affected with the current strikes that are in place.
Overall my experiences with Kiddicare using the website, speaking to customer services, and delivery are brilliant and i would recommend to anyone to use them. I will always be checking their prices in future as they seem to often have the cheapest.
In case you only read the first few lines my strongest of advice is DO NOT BUY FROM KIDDICARE.COM. I feel I must write this to give a necessary warning about them and their appalling customer service. I've never experienced customer service that is this bad. They sent me a faulty Quinny Buzz 3, where the foam/cushioning part of the seating was dented and sticking out, rather than sitting flush. This would have been totally unsuitable for a baby. They are now dragging their feet about sorting out the refund, despite my statutory rights. One of the most important things you should bare in mind is they actively avoid contact by phone. They have actually put into writing in an email that they prefer not to talk by phone but prefer emails and you cant get through on the phone if you tried.
Each time you email them through their contact form, you get an email saying they will get back to you in 24 hours. When you do get a reply, it's vague, resolves nothing and requires a further email to progress the situation. You are then back to square one waiting for a reply and some progress. They are trying to get me to take a replacement seat but they've taken so long to communicate the colour I want is now out of stock. If you write a negative review on their website, it doesn't appear. I know.
I just want to talk to someone on the phone, get the necessary information I need for the refund and arrange the collection. No such luck. They refuse to talk. It seems to me they are trying to delay the process and keep hold of people's money. I need a refund so I can buy a pushchair for the baby that will be born in not too long. They have no regard for the feelings of pregnant women.
Pregnancy can be a stressful time at the best of times. I could really do without the stress I am going through and I'm sure you would too.
After deciding I really liked the looks of a Dutch made pushchair (see 'Mutsy 4-Rider' review) I'd seen in a catalogue, I then had the struggle to find shops/websites that actually stocked it. This is when I came across kiddicare.com.
As well as stocking hard to find items/brands, I found they stock pretty much everything you could possibly need for your little ones. From the small basics such as dummies, bibs & teethers, to nursery furniture, pushchairs...and everything in between!
The site is well laid out, with 3 search options - brand search, product search & quick search. This makes the site very user friendly (even for mums-to-be suffering 'pregnancy-brain'!). The home page also features quick links (with pictures) to major brands, & also to special offers (of which there are always many....).
Once you find what you're looking for, you can read reviews on the item posted by people who have actually bought said item from the site. (I myself have posted reviews after purchasing from here). Another great feature is that some products have short video clips which you can view. These involve Kiddicare staff demonstrating the item in question - a really useful feature when buying such as pushchairs, which can be a real minefield...
The prices are excellent, & they offer a price-match, plus 15%, guarantee. Delivery is free when you spend over £80 - not a difficult threshold to reach when shopping for baby/toddler gubbins! They offer further discounts when buying 2 or 3 of the same item (for parents of twins & triplets) - the discounts are only a few quid extra, but I suppose every little helps.
I myself bought a highchair from the site. The chair was £12 below the next lowest price I'd found, & with free delivery was a bargain. I ordered late one afternoon & the chair arrived the day after the next.
Kiddicare are now also advertising on TV & are sponsors of Katie & Peter Stateside on ITV2. This has really increased their exposure, & I have since heard many people talking about the site.
As well as being on the internet, Kiddicare also have a showroom (the largest nursery showroom in Europe!) in Peterborough (wish I lived closer!).
A highly recommended site, & one I will be sure to return to.
(Also published on ciao under the same username).
When I was pregnant with my now three month old, (three months already, how is that even possible?!), my husband and I went on a mission to find all the stuff we'd need for our little one. The choice was overwhelming. After mooching around Mothercare we had a vague idea of what we wanted so we set about the task of researching on t'internet, to try and find the best deals. I had a look on my trusted cash back website and came across Kiddicare. I have to admit I'd never heard of it (although now I keep seeing it advertised as sponsoring Katie and Peter!) but I thought I'd check it out.
After a successful experience I am back again to check out their range of parasols for bambino's new pushchair.
Kiddicare was established in 1974 and is the largest privately owned nursery supplier to the public in the United Kingdom. They pride themselves on being the number one baby website in the UK. They have a store in Peterborough but those who live too far away will find it easier to use their website.
They sell pretty much everything you could possibly need for your little one. From nursery furniture and prams, to potties, baby gates and toys, their product range is pretty impressive.
They stock well known brands such as Graco, Quinny, Maclaren and Fisher Price at a discounted price, sometime as much as 80% off when they have a sale. In fact they say if you find the product cheaper anywhere else they'll refund the difference plus up to an extra 15% of the difference on top of that. I've never tested this claim however, because I am yet to find anything cheaper than what they advertise as.
They also sell handy little things that I would not have thought of if I hadn't seen them on this website such as clips for the pushchair to hang bags and snuggle nests to help newborns feel secure. Due to the low price, trying these products is a risk and worry free experience.
I have personally bought several items from here including the aforementioned pram clips, a Red Kite bouncer for £9.99 and bargain of the century, a car seat reduced from £89.99 to £24.99. Obviously as much as I love a bargain, I'm not willing to compromise my little one's safety and so I was slightly apprehensive when ordering these products. The bouncer was basic but sturdy and completely safe, whilst the car seat is just great. It adheres to all safety regulations, has a head support, safety ties and carry handle, all for £65 off RRP! Success!
However, they're not completely perfect as they don't stock all brands and as I had my heart set on a particular Mamas and Papas pram, I resorted to getting it from Argos.
As I said, since they won me over last time I have returned to find a parasol as I have no particular brand in mind. I am yet to order but after the initial price comparing Kiddicare seems to win again. They stock parasols from makes such as Clare de Lune, Red Kite and Quinny from as little as £7.49.
~ Website easy to use? ~
Very. Even a computer novice like me can figure it out. To search for an item there are drop down categories where you can select a brand (such as Graco), a category (such as baby swing) or you can simply type in the product you want. There are also wider categories that you can click on such as "car seat, carriers" and "toys, bouncers, swings", which are handy if you are just looking for a bit of inspiration and have nothing specific in mind.
Once you have selected your search the relevant items are displayed on screen. You can then sort the results by price, name, customer rating or best selling items. Before you even click on an item you can see the average ratings given by previous buyers and the first line or so of the latest review. Therefore if you see it's only got 1/5 and the open line says avoid, you know not to bother clicking on it.
You can further narrow the results by the options on the side of the screen, allowing you to choose a specific brand or a price range which is handy if the search brings up about 100 results ranging from £10-£100 and you want to pay between £20 and £30.
When you do click on an item to get more information, there are options to read all consumer reviews in more depth, read the product description and item specifications. I found the descriptions really in depth and factual, right down to the exact size of the item. The price and the recommended retail price are listed so you know how much you are saving. The picture can also be enlarged to gain a closer look at the product.
On the side of the screen it tells you when the item could be delivered by if you ordered it now. They also offer multi-buy savings, where they discount items if you buy more than one of the same thing. This could be particularly useful when ordering items as gifts when you want them to receive the same thing.
Once you have decided to purchase the item you select the number you would like buy and click "add to basket". From here you can continue to shop, or continue to check out. You can sign up and register which makes it easier if you are planning to use the site again, otherwise you can select the express checkout option where you do not need to register.
You can pay using your credit and debit card, through Google checkout, Cash-Ticket checkout or through Paypal, and are assured that their payment system is safe and secure. You then complete the step by step, easy to follow process to complete the order, telling them the delivery address, when you want it delivered and completing the payment.
They also do promotions where if you spend over £99 you can chose a free gift. The type of free gift increases with the amount you spend, if you spend £1000 for example, you can get a free crib worth £59.99 or travel cot worth £79.99. £1000 sounds a lot but if you are buying everything you need from here, i.e. nursery furniture, pram, moses basket, safety equipment etc, it soon adds up.
There is a useful "Help" section with frequently asked questions which gives information on things like delivery, returns policy and other issues. If the answer to your question is not there, you can also email a member of the team.
I found the buying and payment process extremely straight forward and didn't come across any problems at all.
~ Delivery ~
Providing you have placed your order before 5pm, you will receive your item the next working day, which in my opinion is great service. If you order any time at the weekend the earliest you can receive your item is Tuesday.
I have just checked the delivery costs and it says if your total order comes to £80 or more then delivery is free, otherwise it is £7.95, a bit steep if you're only ordering something small and inexpensive. When I ordered my last items I'm sure it was only £50 before you got free postage and £5.99 otherwise. This £7.95 fee makes my cheap parasol, not as cheap as I thought!
There is also the option to have your items delivered on a Saturday before 12 noon. The items will have to have been ordered before 12pm on the Friday and there is a charge of £12.99, regardless of your initial spend. This is handy for those who work all week and are unable to wait in for their items to arrive.
There is also the facility to track your order after it has been placed to give you an idea of when it is going to arrive.
I found the delivery of my items very prompt and had no problems at all. They arrived the next day as promised, were well packaged and I was delighted with the items themselves.
~ Returns ~
Kiddicare state that if you are unhappy for any reason with your purchases you can return them within 21 days in their original packaging and receive a refund. They give a step by step guide on what to do if you do want to return your items and state that if the items are unwanted postage charges will have to be paid by you. However if the item is faulty you do not need to pay for postage, they will pay for you.
I have never had to return anything so unfortunately cannot comment on how good this part of the service is, but from the explanation given it seems pretty simple.
~ Cashback? ~
It's also worth noting that if you buy online through you can also get up to 4% cash back if you pay through Cashback Kings.
~ Overall ~
I am giving the website 4/5 because I am a bit stingy and would prefer free delivery on everything because if you're only after something small and inexpensive the delivery costs can make it not worth buying.
~ Summary ~
1) Easy to use website
2) Good quality items at low price
3) Fast delivery
4) Expensive delivery
Kiddicare is a great internet site that you can buy lot of baby items for example: cots, buggies, baby clothes, dunmmies, car seats and lots more. So as you can see there is a big variety. I find the site is very easy to navigate around at the top of the screen there is a search bar where you can type in the product name you are looking for then search for this makes it easier for you to find it. I find the prices on the site are very reasonable there are some more expensive items but you get that on all sites. I find that there is nearly always a sale on sometimes there's up to 80% cent off of the item, under the sale items there is an rrp price underneath so you can see what you are saving.
I think the site is good as it gives you alot of detail on each product. If you see a product you like then once you have clicked on it underneath there is more details on the product. Firstly it shows you any reviews on the item this is done by a star rating so anyone who has brought the item can leave feedback on it and how many stars they would give it. I think this is good as it good to hear other peoples experience with the product and whether they think it's worth you buying it. Then there is the details and specification on the product which tells you the age it's suitable for, measurements and materials it's made out of etc. Then lastly it says the delivery information which states how long the delivery wil lbe
When you order an item over £50 on the site the delivery is free and if it's under £50 then the delivery cost is £5.99. If you order before 5pm then your order noramlly comes the next day if after 5pm it will be 2 days. But if something is out of stock can take longer but it will tell you on the site. Once your order has been dispatched then you will recieve a message telling you. I recieved mine on my house phone this is ideal as you no that the items on the way. If the date it is being delivered isn't when you are free then you can text them and rearrange anotehr date. You can also track your order online which I found good. I am not so keen on there returns poicy which is if you recieve an item that you no longer want then you have to return the item at ur own expense which I could imagine being quite expensive is something large like a cot. You have 7 days to return it which I think is fair.
So far I have only ordered one thing from the site which was a cot I went through a cashback site so I manged to receive 4% cashback of what I spent so ideal. I was kept up to date with the order of the cot and it arrived the next date as stated. I had an email to confirm the order and a message on my house phone when dispatched so you are kept to upto date.
I think all the products on the site are great you could probably find some of the items cheaper in other places but I find there not to overpriced. I think all the products on the site are great, you could probably find some of the items cheaper in other places but least the items are altogether So you don't have to look far. So overall in my view a great site that I plan to use again.
You will also find this review on ciao under the same name. Thank you for reading.
I ORDERED A TRAVEL SYSTEM, WHICH GOT HERE DAMAGED. I HAVE HAD THE MOST AMOUNT OF TROUBLE TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO THEM VIA THEIR CONTACT NUMBERS WHICH FORCES YOU TO THEN USE THE THEIR PREMIUM NUMBERS!!!!!!!!!!!! THEN I HAD SOMEONE DEALING WITH THE PROBLEM, WHO THEN WENT OFF ON HOLIDAY AND SO THE RECOLLECTION AND REPLACEMENT WAS NOT ARRANGED. I HAVE JUST CALLED THEM VIA THEIR 0906 NUMBER WHICH IS VERY EXSPENSIVE!!!!!!!!!! AND THEY THEN TOLD ME THAT THE PRODUCT THAT I WANTED HAD RUN OUT AND I COULD HAVE A REFUND, WHICH I HAVE ACCEPTED....(LET'S HOPE THAT I GET MY MONEY BACK)???? AND SOON??. PROBLEMS THEY HAVE GOT IS WHEN TRYING TO GET THROUGH TO THEM AS WELL AS ITEMS ARRIVING BROKEN, WHICH IS NOT GOOD BECAUSE THAT SEEMS TO BE A REOCCURRING THEME RUNNING THROUGH THESE REVIEWS! THEY NEED TO GET THEIR PRIORITIES RIGHT AND MAKE SURE THAT THEIR ITEMS ARE CHECKED FOR SAFETY BEING THAT BABIES ARE INVOLVED!!!
Having babies is expensive - FACT!
So now we have the internet there is more competition to buy those must needed or wanted baby goods! Goodbye Mothercare - Hello Kiddicare.com.
Kiddicare.com is a very affordable site which sells baby goods much cheaper then most well known retailers such as Mothercare.
They have great bargains mainly on pushchairs, prams, highchairs etc.
Last year I bought my Phil and Teds from there and it worked out lots cheaper cant remember the exact cost but i shopped around alot for a good deal and they also sent me a free travel cot which was ideal as i needed one of those too...
Before the Phil and Teds though I bought a Silvercross double, put it up put my baby and toddler in it and then realised i couldnt actually get out the door in it, or that it would be wise using on the steets as cars are parked up on the curb all the time so I returned it back to them (at my own cost) and I had no problems at all, They refunded me back the day they received which was excellent.
Ive also bought a highchair from there which was about £40 cheaper then anywhere else again no hassle great delivery and product!
Again no problems, Delivery always comes when it says it will, communications by email with updating dispatch of your order etc.
Not everything is cheaper on Kiddicare, They sell quite a range of items so its best to shop around especially for the smaller items such as cot mobiles.
Overall a wide range of products and If your looking for a new set of wheels for your baby to ride around in check out the site weeky as they have a high turnover of pushchairs and prams and also alot of special deals.
