Advantages: Good pricing, user friendly, regular offers
Disadvantages: Delivery costs
With it's sleek design and layout Kitbag will have you feeling comfortable from the first time you browse their site. User friendly and clear pricing make this a great site, especially if you want to get a quick price check on an item you have seen elsewhere. They offer almost every piece of clothing merchandise that a modern day sports fan could ask for. The quick search bar at the side of the page also allows you to skip straight to an item if you know exactly what you want to buy.
As a football fan I found this a great site for all premiership and international football shirts, none of which are any more extortionate than the rest of the football merchandising market. With Kitbag's regular offers (e.g. mastercard promotion, 15% off) you can often find yourself paying less than you would on the high street.
The one let down is that delivery is not free; £3.95 in fact. I think this is actually overpriced if, for example you are just buying one pair of shorts. Good packaging, but then again clothing doesn't need more than a jiffy bag, so there is no way it costs them much to package items. That said, I am content to pay that £3.95 as I always just add in the delivery price when deciding where to buy from. For example, I bought an Ireland football shirt a few months ago, it cost me £33 including delivery from kitbag. I checked lots of other online stores, and including delivery, the cheapest I could find was aroun £38. Some sites may offer free delivery, but you'll often find that those very same sites will compensate for this by adding more onto the price of items.
Delivery was quick enough, I had my shirt within 3 days which is exactly what I expect from my experience of online retailers. The item arrived in perfect condition, and I was very happy with kitbag's service.
The one thing you can guarantee from Kitbag is 100% official merchandise. Checking other online only retailers, I wouldn't be so sure this was guaranteed everywhere.
As an evertonian I was delighted to see that kitbag have now taken over Everton's merchandising and the clubs website and shopping options have now improved massively.
