Advantages: 24/7 LIVE HELP! ALL your questions, no matter how stupid they are, are quickly resolved!

Disadvantages: The troubleshooting thing can take ages so SKIP IT AND GO STARIGHT TO LIVE CHAT!

THE ELEMENT OF THE SITE I AM REVIEWING IS THE HELP CENTER.

First you start by choosing the type of product that you require help with from a drop down menu. The list is vast ; digital cameras, video cameras, HD players,frames, software, printers, paper, films, projectors, accessories and photo kiosk! - on every occasion I have required help this list has covered it but, if not there is an option of 'other'.

Once you have chosen your type of product you choose the model from another drop down menu and depending on the type of product there may be a third list.

Once you click through to your exact product a whole screen appears, dedicated to it. It has a picture, frequently asked questions knowledge base, an interactive demo of using your product, a user guide (either viewed in browser or as PDF), a list of compatible products,downloads and related links.

There is also a step by step troubleshooting, solutions and repair section. This is the section that generally you would require if your problem was not on the FAQ list.
Once you click through to this section you will be given a huge list of possible problems, I wont list them all but a few examples...
can not transfer/print pictures, lens, power, unsure of a feature, batteries, screen, broken parts etc etc

When you select your problem you are asked a series of questions, depending on your answer, you will be given different solutions to try- complete with a full list of instructions on how to do it. It will then ask if this resolves your problem, if you select no, it will continue giving you further instructions until it either resolves your problem, refers you to a different section and works through the questions and suggestions again, says you need to send it to a repair center for evaluation (this is free if covered by warranty) or contact Kodak for further assistance either by email, phone or the best bit.....

LIVE ONLINE HELP! 24 HOURS A DAY/7 DAYS A WEEK!

You enter basic details, name, email, telephone etc and then what your problem is. You click start chat and an msn style screen appears and you are linked with a Kodak representative who talks you through the solutions. It is live so you can ask any questions you like or get them to explain it in different terms etc. THIS IS SO EASY, IT REALLY IS FOOL PROOF!!!

In my experience, I have found that going straight to the live chat is so much easier and quicker than clicking through the self help trouble shooter. On every occasion they have been able to assist me quickly, efficiently and professionaly.

The link to the live chat can be found on the page when you clicked through to your exact product. It is in the bottom left hand corner in a box that says "Live help-chat online".

It is the lazy option but believe me its the best!

Summary: FREE,LIVE, foolproof help center open all hours! no hefty phone bills or waiting for reply to emails

Good overview of what you need to do but a lot more opinion would help those who may be using the website.
