Being a bit of a foodie I have been on the Leaping Salmon mailing list for some time but had never gone the whole hog and used them. So, come Valentines when I was looking to do something special but different, I decided to give them a try. They offer same day delivery to most London postcodes and overnight delivery to the rest of the UK mainland. There are also a number of ‘drop points’ in London for same day delivery where you can collect your order from. Despite being in the same day delivery zone I opted to order in advance. I was a little concerned when it arrived at 10 am on the day as I was worried that, even though it was in a cool ... Read the complete review

i think it is excellent - Advantages: easy to prepare, convenient delivery service, no hastle of all the preperation of the fish itself - Disadvantages: because it is prepacked, how fresh is it, quality of fish

i recently won a competition for a Leaping Salmon meal for 2 on another website, so off I trotted to look at the menu. Certainly got the tastebuds going - mind you the prices are a bit dodgy. The meal I chose was the Beef wellington described as follows: Succulent fillets of Angus Beef, encased in Chicken Liver Pâté, Mushrooms, Cognac and Truffle Oil and wrapped in Parma Ham and Puff Pastry. Served with a rich Madeira Sauce, Sautéed Potatoes and Red Cabbage. normally priced at £19.95 for 2 It duly arrived on the date I picked and I unwrapped it all with some trepidation. lo and behold - lots of little plastic boxes and bottles with ... A friend and I recently tried Leapingsalmon.com when they had an offer for a free starter or dessert when you buy a main course. It arrived the same day that we ordered it (in London) and was a fun way to cook. I'm not much of a chef by any respect but leapingsalmon provided a lot of shortcuts. We ordered carpaccio with salad for a starter, roast rump of lamb for the main course and torta al cioccolato for dessert. The meal was surprisingly easy to make - taking about 45 minutes overall. Everything pre-cut and pre-measured and fool-proof recipe instructions. What we were particularly impressed with was the portion sizes- huge! In fact, we had to save the ... Read the complete review

Yesterday, my fiancé surprised me with delivery from LeapingSalmon.com. She went to take a bath and told me to fix dinner before she was back. The dinner was a humble 2 course gourmet dinner. Marinated duck breast with pieces of orange, sultanas and pesto nuts as a starter. This I threw together in 5 minutes because most of the ingredients were well prepared. The main course was oven baked salmon with new potatoes and white wine sauce with water crest and lemon grind. All ready in 25 minutes of cooking. The final touch was the spinach roulade with crème fresh and roasted peppers. With all this I found a Chardonnay in our wine cupboard and it ... Read the complete review
