Advantages: Quick to come, good quality, etc
Disadvantages: A bit more expensive than most
I signed up to littlewoods at the end of last year. I only really came across it because I was looking for a red venetian blind. Simple request you would think? No, I searched every shop and scoured every website, even ebay only had them in 2ft long. Until I came across Littlewoods, who had blinds in every imaginable size and colour! Hurrah!
Better yet, they had an offer on for £15 off your first shop of £25 or more. bargain.
I have used ittlewoods a lot since then. Mainly in the sales, I bought 2 gorgeous cream leather bedside tables which were priced at £29.99 each yet in the sale they were reduced to £8 each, brilliant.
Littlewoods is a website but they also send out catalogues, I constantly get stopped by market researchers in my town centre asking about Littlewoods and if I would like a catalogue.
They mostly sell womens, mens and childrens clothes and shoes but the also sell a bit of everything else. A bit like the argos catalogue, they sell everything from kettles to toys to gym equipment. They also have larger items such as washing machines and sofas, plus a great range of home furnishings.
Littlewoods is the only company I know of that gives interest free credit (note the interest free part!). Any item can be paid for over 20 weeks and anything over £60 can be paid for over a year. Some larger items like sofas can be paid for over two years, although watch out as some two year deals chage interest at 29% APR!
I have found the majority of Littlewoods items to be a bit more expensive than a lot of places but this is the price you pay for the convenience of paying a few quid a week rather than having to pay the lot up front.
Although Littlewoods is a bit more expensive, they do great sales, sometimes up to 90% off. They have a sale on at the moment with up to 60% off. If you do want to join though, search the web first for money off codes as they will usually have offers on for first orders. When you do sign up they have recommend a friend offers as well. My latest one is £20 off for me and the same for any friend that signs up.
If the item is in stock they usually have next day delivery if ordered before 3pm but there have been a few times that I have ordered at around 7-8pm and it has still turned up the next morning, even on saturdays.
Returns are also very easy. They send you slips with each item that you can fill in if you want to send it back and you can then simply drop it off at the post office free of charge.
The only problem I have had is that I bought a printer and it doesn't print out colours very well so I rang them up and they said it would need to be collected. They could set a date but not a time so here I am sat around waiting for them to turn up, which is quite annoying. Once faulty electrical items get back to them they check them over (which can take up to 21 days), if they find a fault they refund your money but iff they don't they send it back to you. I just hope they check thoroughly - if there are any problems with this I will edit my review and let you know.
Overall I have been extremely happy with the customer service, speed of service and quality of items so would definitely recommend to anyone interested in trying them out.
Summary: A great, easy, hassle free way to shop!
