An online and paper catalogue store to purchase through credit

Advantages: Easy installment payments, browse at home through catalogue and online
Disadvantages: Poorly managed, rude staff and lack of managment
I have recently had my first experience with the online store of littlewoods and I have to be brutally honest and state that I havent been impressed by the service I have received at all.
Littlewoods is a catalogue store where you can purchase items from clothing to homeware, electrical items and garden items etc from browsing the catalogue at home or online and making the order. Orders can be made through paper, phone or on the internet. You can either pay for the item there and then or set up an account where you are given a spending limit and a monthly bill. Careful however because interest racks up on the accounts if you dont watch it carefully. Overall though you can get things that you need easily and without hassel usually through an account system and it helps to pay for things over time when you cant afford them straight away.
Overall from my past experience with littlewoods and from experience I have seen with my family and freinds I would say the service has been ok, and hence I decided to sign up for an account online and make an instant purchase.
The signing up online was easy and simple and took approx 15 minutes to complete, read through and sign e sign the contract for the credit agreement. This was all fine and then I made my order of a dyson hoover. I clicked everything as I should have done and ordered it to be delivered the following day. I could allocate a specific time period for the day for an extra cost of £6.95 however I decided that because I would be in and out for most of the day I would choose anytime which was free.
In the morning of the supposed delivery day I received a text at 8am to state my delivery would be with me between 9.30 and 12.30 in the morning. I was pleased with this as I could rearrange my working schedule slightly and stay in to work from home in the morning whilst waiting for the hoover and then go to my daughters easter parade. I stayed in and waited until 12.30. I tried ringing as nothing had arrived and couldnt get through as the lines had a technical fault on them for littlewoods.
I therefore left a note on the front of my door to state I had waited and to please leave the hoover or call me so I can come back home ot get it. I received nothing and hence when I returned home and after waiting until 6pm I called littlewoods.
I was told that the hoover was not due to be delivered until the following tuesday. I stated why this was the case when I ordered it for the next day, it confirmed this with an email and then even received a text to state this. The operator had no idea as to why I received the text but just repeated herself in that I would be getting it on the tuesday. I asked if I could cancel my order and also cancel my account as I was disgusted with the service so far and because it had ruined my day, and this was only the first time I had used them and I was told this wouldnt be possible but I would just have to refuse the hoover when it arrived and I ws unable to cancel the account.
I was baffled by the attitude and inconclusive feedback from the operator and now I dont wish to purchase from them again. I found the set up very unprofessional and poorly managed. I wont be purchasing from them again and I have used other catalogue sites in the past and have had no trouble.
Summary: Not the best catalogue store in the market, look around before here
