Advantages: No shops
Disadvantages: Have to wait for the order, Kids clothes can be on the small side
This is a copy of an old opinion I wrote, yis time for the update!!
After seeing all the ads on tv and instore I logged onto the website as I wanted to buy a cooker and pay for it using the Flexible Account. I first tried in July with Littlewoods OnLine. This didnt seem to work at first and because I didnt hear from them assumed that the application didnt go through.
2 weeks ago I tried again with Index extra and got an e-mail saying I had been accepted and my card would be with me in 10-14 days. Hurrah a new cooker soon! Well the card isnt here, I tried to order anyway but it wouldnt let me as I didnt have a card number. So I ring up, after going through 3 different departments I was told that, yes I was accepted, yes the account was authorised and ready to go, no my card hadnt been sent and no I couldnt have the number over the phone. But if I tried again as long as I had the name and postcode there should be no problem, yes you've guessed it, it didnt work.
Phoned again got told same thing.
Phoned again, after another 3 departments was told I could just order it over the phone so I did whereupon I was told that this was the wrong catalogue order, they dealt with Littlewoods orders and I had the account dating from July that I'd heard nothing from. Try again I got told, as long as you have the name and postcode you will be fine.
Needless to say I gave up for that day.

Eventually it was sorted, but I never got that cooker, couldnt be bothered to wait quite frankly. But I do use it for ordering clothes etc. And I have to say they are damn good, 48hr delivery is always met, the good have always been correct and undamaged and are great value.
The bad things though, there are 3 catalogues on line, Littlewoods, Index and both mixed together, they have different account numbers and you cant use one in the other. I havent quite worked out the reasoning behind this yet as they have many of the same good. Once you choose the one you want, you are then faced with an array of choices, but seperated into quite logical catagories. The pages arent extremely quick to load up so prepare to spend a bit of time.
There is also a section for bargains and to bid on certain items but you have to register for these. When you've finished you can pay on-line or through an account whereby a statement will be sent to you every month.
In my mind it the best and easiest way to shop on-line for children clothes.
Thank God I've finished now, felt like I was writing a book!!
