After Christmas I was tempted to have a look online at various sales. I tend to follow email links and one of the emails I got was from a company called Lovehoney.co.uk who call themselves the "sexual happiness people". They have a website which sells adult sex toys, sexy lingerie, sexual protection items, adult gifts, sex aids and other adult themed products. They are similar to Ann Summers but their prices are much more affordable.

Although I had registered and created an account with Lovehoney.co.uk I had never actually purchased anything there before. I had previously been using an adult themed website called Bondara which is also affordable but after my last purchase there I was a bit concerned about how they had packaged my items and hadn't shopped there since.

I went onto Lovehoney.co.uk and browsed through their sale items. There was plenty in the sale to interest me and I ended up purchasing several items including sex toys, edible gifts and a perfumed item.

The website is very easy to use and there are menu tabs at the top of the main webpage which clearly label the product areas. There are also lots of filters which make it easier to narrow down searches too. You can choose which price category you want, by star rating according to other user's experiences of the products, material and on products like vibrator you can narrow it down to size and shape too! In the sale area you can also categorise the items by A-Z, price and popularity. The website stock a large range of items suitable for both men and women, singles and couples, people who are new to this world and people who aren't!

Products are clearly marked as to whether they are in stock or not. If they are you can click the big "Add to Basket" button and either checkout or carry on shopping. i would suggest they put a link on the page after you add something to your basket to return to where you just came from but it isn't too much of an issue.

There is an abundance of information about each product and reading through the product descriptions and reviews I felt really informed about each item and confident about purchasing them. On many items there are multiple pictures on the website from various angles so you can see exactly what you are getting. There is also sometimes a little video clip where you can learn about each product and how to use certain items.

After adding all the items to my virtual basket I was given the opportunity to increase any item's quantity if I wished. Before reaching the checkout you are provided with information about shipping costs. The postage is free if you want it delivered in 3-4 working days. You can also pay a very reasonable £2.95 for tracked mail which will arrive in 1-2 days. This mail category is free if you spend over £30. A third option is special delivery which specifies an actual delivery date for you and which costs £5.95 or is free if you spend over £75.

You are able to pay by credit card or debit card and also by Paypal which is great and was handy for me. I chose this Paypal option and was redirected to the Paypal site to complete the sales transaction. After placing my order I got an email saying that Lovehoney had received my order. This email included the estimated date it would be delivered by - or at least it gives you the date it should be delivered by.

The items were dispatched on the same day I ordered them and I received them the next day. They arrived by parcel courier rather than with my regular postman. The parcel was a large cardboard box which was bigger than necessary but I was pleased with this as it meant some of the more naughty items inside we not able to be identified by shape.

The parcel was very discreet and only marked with LHTrading in small writing so that nobody can tell you've shopped there. This is perfect for people who are a bit shy like me! Inside the box the items were well padded with scrunched up paper and everything was in good condition, unaffected by transit. Inside was also an invoice with return labels attached which was easy to read and clearly set out.

I am very pleased with the quality of the items and with the prices they offer on the site. I am also amazed at how lightning quick their service is and how thorough and polite the company are in communicating with you. Another thing that I am enthused about is the Lovehoney loyalty program. Each time you buy something you are rewarded with what they call "Oh! Points". When you earn enough points you can redeem them for a free item on the site. I gained 500 just for registering my account and the free items start at 600 Oh! Points, which is reaonable enough to attain.

I am really happy with the service and the products from Lovehoney and I am most definitely going to shop here in the future. It's the first website I'll go to when I want products of this nature. I would certainly recommend this company to anyone interested in adult sex themed items. You can't beat the service, the prices and quality of goods.
