      Well worth looking at.

Lucy Rose Organic Skincare is a website (www.lucyrose.biz) devoted to the mail order of natural cosmetics and toiletries. I have used them frequently over the last year, as I have been endeavouring to purchase paraben free products as often as possible.

This website originally came to my attention through a Google search, and was probably initially appealing, as it has a name which reflects that of one of my daughters as well as my mum. On arriving at the website, however, I became aware that the website had much to offer in the choice of products than just an appealing name, and certainly the home page impressed me, as I thought it looked feminine and very attractive indeed. I always think that a cluttered home page, which is difficult to navigate, is off putting in the extreme, especially on a first visit, when instilling confidence is so important for that first sale.

The company was started by a lady called Sara, who prior to setting up the business was an aromatherapist for fifteen years. It was named after her two eldest daughters, and offers natural alternatives in all fields of beauty, and includes make-up ranges, as well as skin care products and many other items.

The home page has links to individual sections, which are accessed by simply clicking on the link on the left of the page reflecting the area of interest you may have. You can either choose to shop by category, ethics, or by brand, and this attribute allows you to select immediately the products which have the most relevance. I really value the links to vegan and fair-trade products in particular. Any information you may require, including postage details and so on are clearly accessible from the home page. It is interesting to note that postage is free on all orders, however small they may be.

The company is not connected to cash back sites as yet, but by searching around I did find a code on the Living Ethically website- LE0910, which gives 10% off first orders over £20.

I have ordered several times and was delighted with each and every aspect of the service. The process was very swift indeed, and on one occasion my item arrived the next day. The packaging was superb, and the customer service was excellent. One order I had placed had an item which was out of stock, but this was explained promptly to me, and it duly arrived a few days later.

I also really value another aspect of this website, and that is the opportunity to try samples before committing to purchasing the full size version. This is so important, especially with items such as foundation make-up. This service has a nominal charge of £1 which is refundable on future purchases.

The website also has a comprehensive section which details the various chemicals and their risks, which are widely used in conventional toiletries and cosmetics. I found this section to be very useful.

Another really important recent update to the site is the inclusion of a section devoted entirely to eczema and allergies - this section has some products designed with this important need in mind. There are also sections for dental care, sun care, and for all major cosmetic and beauty needs.

The website is secure, and offers all the normal methods of payment including PayPal, and in addition to this it runs very fast in my experience, which makes the entire purchase from selection to payment easy and quick. There is also the opportunity to set up a personal account, which makes future shopping easy and straightforward.

I have purchased many items from the French make-up company -Elysambre from this site. This company makes ethical make-up with re-useable packaging, and Lucyrose carries a good selection of items in this range. All the major natural companies are represented on the site, which is a showcase for famous names including Burt's Bees and Lavera.

There is also a section which details their best sellers which makes interesting reading, and certainly generates ideas in my mind.

Another section which is also very useful is entitled " know your skin type"- this has very helpful advice about how to determine yours, and also how to care for it. This section also has helpful advice for the winter season.

With Christmas round the corner I would certainly recommend this company if you are looking for natural skin care products and cosmetics. The prices are very reasonable compared to other similar companies who operate in this field.
