Advantages: Excellent site - easy to navigate and follow, Wonderful product range, Saves you going down the shops!

Disadvantages: Cant touch, feel or smell the producs

The numerous opinions written about the Lush products available lead me to the conclusion on Sunday that l need some Lush produce in my life! After reaching this momentous decision l was faced with 2 options –

1 Go to the Lush Shop at Castle Lane in Belfast

OR

2 Shop from the comfort of my own home

As l was still in my PJ’s (yes l know it was 3pm – but so what it was Sunday!) l opted for option 2.

LUSH TIMES ONLINE

The site is easy to find – http://www.lush.co.uk You are then transported to a world of gunk and goo and squishy stuff – its pure heaven!

HOME PAGE

Lush welcome you to “Lush Land” and there’s a quick introductory paragraph on how to use the site, announcements, the latest products to hit the shelves, a contact us link, and the date the page/site was last updated. Its simple with no mad fonts, funky colours or flashy graphics – but its damn effective – information is easily found and digested.

PRODUCTS

Customers are given sections of products from the Lush repertoire to choose to purchase:

All new products are visible and those suitable for veggies are clearly marked. There is also a comments section where previous customers and Lush purveyors give their opinions on the products – this is additional help for those who like me want to buy everything and cannot make up their minds as to what to choose!

SHOPPING

Shopping could not be easier when you’ve finally made your mind up – simply click on the add to basket icon and your basket can be reviewed at any time.

ere (and lm not going into any great detail about the actual products – watch out for future opinions!), l ordered £24.00 worth of products and the delivery came to £2.95 which l think is standard.

My order included:
 High Noon – red rooster soap with a Sicilian bath ballistic imbedded into it
 Mask of Magnanimity – face mask
 Floating Island Bath Melt – for the bath
 B Never too Busy to be Beautiful – shower/bath gel

- there were loads more besides!

Under each product section you will find a blurb about the product types and also a cartoon of how to use the products. If this doesn’t convince you to buy – NOTHING WILL!


QUICK ORDER

For those busy Lush addicts amongst us there is also the quick order section. If you do not have time to peruse the product isles and know exactly what you want there are 2 ways to order quickly:

 Alphabetically – place your order & quantity in the box provided
 Categorically – choose a product section then place your order quantity beside your choice


GIFTS

Lush provides a specific gifts section – especially good if like moi you are determined to start your Christmas shopping early! Here you can choose gifts for under £5 & £10 and £10 plus.


ORDERING

This was really as simply as 1,2,3. After choosing my lushtastic delights l simply clicked on the review order icon. My order then flashed onto the screen (without the delivery charges added). If you are happy then proceed to CASHIER or you may CONTINUE SHOPPING, or simply abandon by hitting EMPTY BASKET. If you have changed your mind about a product you also have the option to remove it.

Completing your order – fill in your details as requested and at the bottom of the screen there is a handy helpful hint box. Hit next as requested and your e
ntire order will now been seen – with postage included. Once happy hit the NETBANK icon where your payment details will be taken in a safe and secure environment.

You will receive an email confirming your order and it does state that delivery may take up to 14 days to arrive.

OVERALL

Lush by name and Lush by nature and philosophy. I simply cannot wait to hit the bathroom with all my new gunk and goo – l will be emerging revitalised, energised and smelling glorious! The web site is a must for the Lush fanatics and those who can’t be arsed going down the shops!
