Advantages: Polite service, Quick delivery and you don't have to wait in all day for it, Wide selection of wines

Disadvantages: Have to order 12 bottles at a time

It's christmas and as I give wine out to a lot of people as presents I decided this year that I was going to buy a mixed case of wine and then give the wines out.

I had a look at a few websites and thought that it was really hard to work out what wine I wanted as I was trying to get wine that was a bit special. Some of them didn't allow you to select the wine you wanted for the mix case and nearly all of them had a delivery charge.

I did some more searching and then found a wine site which had all the others I had looked at plus Majestic.co.uk I went to the Majestic site and selected the amount of money I wanted to spend without selecting any wines. I then left a message which asked for 2 bottles of Rioja and no rose wine. This was on Tuesday evening. There website clearly states that they may have problems delivering orders before Christmas but all orders made before a certain date will definitely be delivered.

On Wednesday I got a phone call from the local Majestic asking if it was ok to deliver between 6pm - 8pm on Thursday. I was shocked. The guy was so polite especially when I was a bit off because my credit card details where wrong.

The wine arrived at 7.30pm on Thursday and I am pleased. The delivery guy apologised for it being heavy (and I didn't even complain) and put the wine down in the hall. Some of the bottles are cheaper than the other places because of the special offers they have. They also took the money of the case to reflect the discounted bottles. I got my 2 bottles of Rioja A
ND no rose. Also the wine I got has good reviews elsewhere.
