Oo-er. I just shopped at CD-WOE and discovered Dooyoo at the same time as Ciao. Tegistrered at Ciao and wrote their first opinion on Majestic. Moseyed on over here and found 3 like-minded souls!

I can only agree. Their prices are great and I've always liked the wines (I've shopped with my local Majestic shop in Muswell Hill for a while) but what impressed me was their service.

I ordered and within 24 hours had a call from someone at that same Muswell Hill store, arranging delivery (completely free, and I gather that covers the whole UK) for when I was in. What a great but strangely rare touch - delivery when it suits me? What am I? The customer or something?

They didn't have one of the wines I ordered in stock, but offered to replace it for me and deliver immediately rather than wait a few days for them to get wht I originally ordered in. I tried their 'suggestion' first and it was very good - I'll be ordering Chateau Guiot again!!!

A few basics for those that don't know:
- You have to order 12 bottles minimum at a time (but you can mix your own case from all of their range, which is what I do - I HATE those "great value" pre-mixed cases some other places sell)
- You can order spirits, beer and soft drinks as well as wine (but not on their own, and it looks like they can't cover the whole country with this service).
- They offer all the same deals online as in their shops, so expect lots (and I mean lots) of "Buy 2 Save £1" deals, rather than "10% off your first order".
- If you read the wine sections of the papers you'll have seen their name before. Apart from Oddbins, I don't see anyone else mentioned as much as Majestic.
- The staff are really good, and know their stuff. If you go into one of their stores they have a tasting counter, so there's always wine to taste for free - no wonder the staff know their wine!
- The site is very
quick and simple.

That's it. I've shopped with them for about 2 years now and always been happy. What more can I say?
