Disadvantages: VERY poor customer service

I started shopping at Mamas & Papas last year whilst pregnant with my now 3 month old son. I love the product ranges & the styling - you can't find anything similar in local nursery stores. I am into contemporary styling & the M&P ranges fit my lifestyle perfectly. However, I am not a fan of the customer service. I have 2 M&P stores within 50 miles of my home & have visited both on several occasions. I find the staff unhelpful & frequently have problems with pricing when I come to pay for my goods. I recently checked out the website & decided to place an order since I'd received a £5 giftcard with my latest catalogue (therefore negating the £4.95 delivery charge). The website wasn't the easiest to navigate, but I knew what I wanted so was able to type it straight into the search box. However, when I received my items I found 2 to be damaged. I called & requested a returns label to be sent so I could exchange the items. One week later, still no sign of the labels. I ahppened to be going to the M&P store anyway, so then decided to return instore. I was offered a refund but given no receipt to say I'd returned my items, & therefore no proof if the money didn't go back on my credit card. I insisted on the manager writing me a receipt, & a good thing it was too, since it turned out they had missed crediting me one of the items (valued at £70, so would've been a big loss!). Be wary of the pricing/returns policies. Shopping online at M&P is probably best, since dealing with the staff will leave you disappointed!

Summary: I hate to shop there, but do so because I can't find anything similar elsewhere!
