The picture on the website was of a team GB cap and the one I received was different. I actually wanted the team GB one as depicted on the website.I called customer services and as it said in the small print, item may vary. The customer service lady was polite but agreed that the description that words item may vary was tucked away. I was advised to send it back them at my own cost!!!Not worth buying from them as they couldn't even bother to give a small goodwill gesture for the postage costs. I can't imagine what type of service they would provide if a big problem occurred.AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
MandMdirect decided to cancel my order as my billing and delivery addresses we different (yes, some people have more than one house). They did not bother to ring/email me, just cancelled it. It was only when I rung them to chase my order I was told that my bank was holding my payment (what a rubbish- from my bank balance I could see that they had authorised the payment) and that they texted, emailed me and even sent me a paper letter regarding it. What a lie. Just a bunch of brainless rude and unprofessional muppets. Spend your money somewhere else.
I have been using M&M Direct for a few years now, mostly for my son but also I have bought the odd thing for myself, and I have always been more than pleased with both their prices and their service.
They are available online and they also send me a brochure out every couple of months or so, which I assume is automatic once you start shopping with them. The brochure only shows a small selection of what is available but it is good to browse through.
I buy many of my son's clothes from M&M (he is 16 and therefore I shop in the men's section for him) because he likes brand names - of which they sell many different ones including Voi Jeans, Crosshatch, Ben Sherman, Fred Perry, FCUK, Lacoste, Animal, Helly Hanson and loads more - and they are simply so much cheaper from here. I recently purchased him som trainers which cost me only £25 for a decent make - Voi Jeans - and would have cost at least twice that if I had bought them from a shop. T-shirts are especially cheap; expect to pay anything around only £10-15 for a FCUK t-shirt or even less for less well known brands. Everything you find in here will cost you less than the RRP and less than you would pay in a shop, so even taking any delivery charges into account you will still end up saving money.
As well as trainers, jeans and t-shirts etc they also sell a good selection of outdoor wear, from lightweight Helly Hanson jackets to Berghaus coats to fleeces to ski jackets. Again these are considerably cheaper than you will find elsewhere.
In the ladies fashion section there is a good selection of tops, t-shirts, shoes, boots, jeans, pjs, swimwear, sports tops & tracky bottoms, from many brands such as FCUK, Roxy, Gold digga, Animal, Red Or Dead and UGG. There are some very good bargains to be found in the shoe & boot section!
There is also a wide range of children's clothes and round about Christmas they add to their range and include some gifts, aftershaves etc.
Delivery charges vary depending on how urgent you want the parcel, I think it is currently £3.95 for normal delivery (which is for as many items as you like) or £5.95 for urgent / next day delivery. Every now & then however they will have a promotion on where you get free delivery if you spend over £25 for instance. You do have to pay for returns, although there is something they offer (which I think costs around £14.99 for the year) that allows you unlimited deliveries and returns, so if you find yourself ordering regularly from them then it is worth considering this.
The service provided is always very good, I tend to do my ordering online but have in the past ordered by phone and they have always been courteous and helpful. I have never had any problems with a delivery or anything, everything has always been delivered when promised. Sometimes stock can run out quite quickly, so do bear this in mind if you get a brochure through the post; what you see in there may not be available the week after. I tend to browse through the brochure and then check stock online when I order.
All in all, they have a wide range of products, something for everyone and at fantastic prices.
I first used M & M sports now known as M & M direct well over 10 years ago. I got to find about the company as a friend had been receiving the catalog through the post and reffered myself to also receive the catalog.
In the early days there wasn't too much choice of stock but the products which were available were well known brands generally older stock to what you would find in retail outlets but considerably cheaper.
It was down to the pricing and home delivery that generated such an interest in this company, after a couple of single item orders it wasn't long before we used M & M for all major occassion's like Birthdays and Christmas where quite large orders were placed which allowed us to purchase presents for a large part of the family from just one place.
The choice of products and brands has increased a lot over the years, M & M now stock a good range of Mens, Womens and childrens clothing including Bench, Addidas, Timberland, Fred Perry, Helly Hansen, Diesel and other reputable brands. They generally have a good quantity of common sizes and are fast at fulfilling the orders.
We often get a private courier or individual dropping of our orders who turns up on the evening which is well suited as I am at work in the day, at the times of not been present at the time of delivery they have left the package over the back gate or in the garden etc where it can easily be obtained on return without having to arrange a re-delivery.
M & M direct now also offer a returns service for just £1.50 per order which allows any number of goods to be returned for a refund or replacement should there be a problem.
Any goods can be returned providing they have not been used so you still have a choice to check over your goods like you would if purchased from a high street store.
The customer services team have been very helpful over the years, only on rare occassion's have I needed to contact them regarding an issue and they have always been overly friendly and very helpful to assist.
I would very much recommend shopping with M & M Direct!
I made my very first purchase from mandmdirect last week, I ordered a few bits, all good branded clothes to keep me through the winter, as well as a nice pair of Timberland boots. I thought I was getting a good deal, and this was the case for everything except the Timberland boots, so I paid a modest (for what they are) sum of £60.00 RRP apparently £99.99. A brief search for the same boots brought up the official Timberland retail website where the exact same boots were being sold for £61.57 excluding postage and packaging, so I probably saved about a fiver tops, a far cry from the £40 I thought I was saving. It's strange and misleading how they come up with these RRPs as whenever I look elsewhere for the same profit although savings can definitely be made with mandmdirect their RRP's are so much higher than the RRPs I found on their products.
The website itself is very well presented and things are very easy to find and made easier by the filtering of specific categories, only want to view womens accessories? simply select accessories from the womens section and that is all you will get, minimum fuss, no mess, no worries and therefore less confusion. The layout is both clean and tidy which further improves the users experience whilst shopping there.
Another problem that concerns me is the payment, I paid with my debit card which has it's own security features in place to protect your account from theft and fraud, mandmdirect doesn't have this feature on their website, which does concern me slightly, I am not paranoid by any stretch and no harm has come of my account from mandmdirect so I can certainly vouch for their legitimacy however I do think they should include this security feature as it seems pretty mandatory for most online retail sites.
I cannot complain about the quality of the products nor the postage times, both of which we're absolutely fantastic and first class.
To conclude mandmdirect WILL save you money, enough to warrant buying from their stores instead of the direct brand suppliers, and I would recommend them to a friend should they include the debit security feature I previously mentioned. However don't expect to make massive savings because the reality of it is you just won't, all that glistens certainly isn't gold unfortunately.
Rip off !"I purchased 3 pairs leather shoes at approx 12-1 in the afternoon for my kids for school ... i went bk on the website at 5 ish to how my husband and they had knocked 20% off them all , i was so miffed off that i contacted them and complained ( i could understand if it was a diff day but not few hours apart), i more or less was told tough , they wont reimburse the difference n all i could do was return shoes but wont be certain to get the again if i reordered ! WAS SO DISSAPOINTED !! How can they do this?!! It was hours apart :(
When it comes to wearing sports clothes I am not a huge fan. I mean this in terms of the jogging bottoms and the polo shirts and I like wearing nice jeans and sometimes trendy tops and I like to find cheap prices.
MandMdirect.com appealed to me from this free magazine I had in a local newspaper. It was showing items which were cheap and to the point where I thought it was all lies. They do everything in a clothing sense from big branded names.
Shirts from Nike, trainers by Adidas and jeans by Levis and you have not seen anything yet. The actual website is designed in a decent fashion because people can pick which genders they are and what they are searching for down the left hand side on the main page.
You have items for men and women and the little children and they have a good range of items. They do wallets, hats, scarves and even gloves and they do them in many sizes as well.
My first shopping experience with them I brought a pair of jeans, some shoes and a nice top and the estimated value for all these would have been £145. However, on this website I paid just £40 and I was stunned.
All the items arrived quickly and they were in fantastic condition. Obviously the downside to any website is the lack of ability to try items on. You can see a product for a decent price and wonder how it might look to you and then you see another item which might not look that good.
You can send items back if you wish as well which is a good part. I have found a few issues and the biggest is the lack of sizes sometimes. They do have most sizes but I take extra large for shirts and tops and I have very long legs so finding trousers to fit is difficult.
I tend to find some sizes are either never in stock or out of stock very quickly. I appreciate supply and demand but it is annoying. They do have measuring charts on the website which can be helpful for all of us sometimes.
I think what I like is the variety of clothing. They have big brands, good prices and they range in colours and styles. You have shirts in so many colours it is fantastic.
I think they have promotions on all the time in regards to discounts for spending so much money and even free delivery sometimes so they have plenty there. They do have new items reguarly as well so for me this is a worthwhile website to visit and enjoy.
when they get your money, you will; beg them to answer you! and their always reply, oh its out of stock! and moreover, they dont refund your money.. trust me, pay more and buy your comfort by not buying from them. until this moment they didnt answer AT ALL, and i just made a claim to refund my money, and still didnt receive "half" of my items bought!
I can remember having a m and m direct store in my town centre and it was a brilliantly cheap store so I was quite sad when it closed down.
I found mandm direct a few years ago and whilst I loved the prices I just never got around to actually buying anything!
A few weeks ago me and my partner were looking online for a jacket for him, I found a lovely one on the JD website, but he wanted to look around a bit more and came across one on www.mandmdirect.com, it was a Bench jacket for £12.99. That was over £20 cheaper than the one I found earlier! He preferred this one, so told me to have a look for stuff for me and stuff for the kids.
I came across some great tracksuit bottoms and t-shirts for the boys but found that everything I liked for myself were either out of stock completely or just in the size I wanted!!
The site is very easy to navigate and prices are fab. If you see something you like though, you would be better to get it there and then as stock changes frequently. The prices are so low, things do tend to vanish off the site completely within a day or so!
The delivery was pretty quick too. I ordered on a Friday and they were delivered the following Monday!
I didn't need to send anything back so can't comment on what it's like to return but in the package I got was a returns sheet, they will reimburse the full price of whatever you send back but not the postage.
I didn't have a problem with anything I ordered, which was 1 jacket, 3 bottoms, 2 t-shirts, and 1 jumper, I spent around £50 but had a saving of over £145 on the rrp. I was very happy with the quick service and the clothes were great.
There's womens, mens, childrens clothes and shoes. Also accessories and a big sale. Definately worth a look, especially with Christmas around the corner.
Check sites such as myvouchercodes etc... for discount codes and free delivery.
MandMdirect.com is an online store for discount branded clothing, footwear and accessories. I've been shopping at MandMdirect for a number of years on and off. They originally started as a discount sportswear retailer, selling through a catalogue - now most of their business is online and has grown to incorporate fashion brands as well as its traditional sportswear brands.
MandMdirect.com stock a vast array of both fashion and sportswear brands for men, women and children. There is always a very good range of products, but being a discount retailer the stock changes relatively frequently and is not always to individual tastes or the right sizes. There is always a good range of brands from mainstream sports brands like Nike, Asics, Reebok to specialist sports brands like Brooks. Its also well worth a look for high street fashion labels like French Connection, Firetrap, Fly53, Diesel, Superdry, etc.
I typically pick up formal shoes through MandMdirect and sports clothing. If i cant find what im looking for i typically look at the site over a number of weeks until i see something that i like and then buy it. I recently got a pair of Base London shoes for £14.99 + P&P. I would definitely recommend a look at this site for a general browse and if you're looking for something specific you may just find what you're looking for at a significant discount!
The online sales process is pretty straightforward. You will be asked to set up an account as with most online retailers. There are often promotion codes out there for free delivery and MandMdirect sometimes offer free delivery promotions as well. MandMdirect have been operating for a long time, i've never had any problems with them so i would be more than confident buying from them in the future.
Delivery & Returns
Delivery is by courier so make sure you're in to sign for it. You can select either standard (3-5 working days) or express (next working day) delivery. Returns are also relatively straightforward. I recently returned a pair of shoes which didn't fit properly. The original packaging can be re-used, there is a form inside the package to complete where you select what the problem is and whether you want a refund or different size etc. The only downside is you have to pay to return the item yourself, you wont get this cost back unless the item is faulty or was not what you ordered. You will be refunded within a couple of weeks but it can take a while.
MandMDirect is site I have used on many occasions. They are an online retailer of clothing, footwear & sportswear. The specialise in providing well known high street brands (including Nike, Berghaus, Timberland, FireTrap, Ben Sherman) at knock down prices.
The best comparison I can think of is to imagine MandMDirect as an onlne equivalent of TKMaxx. They have a very wide range of items for adults and children but, as I often find with TKMaxx, you can go for weeks or even months without seeing anything that takes your eye and then suddenly they get loads of great stock in.
I have always been quite specific in what I wanted from here (ie. outdoor pursuits clothing) so those looking for more general items may well find this is not an issue.
The website is well laid out and offers a multitude of ways to filter and search for items, be it by gender, brand, type of item & right down to specific sizes and types of sport.
Prices range from the good to the utterly brilliant. The website tag line is "Save upto 75% on your favourite brands" and I have certainly done that in the past. As an example, my Most recent purchase was a pair of Base London shoes... costing me just £9.99 + postage :-)
On the subject of postage, the standard rate is £3.99 no matter how many items you order. In the past, all my orders have come within 3 or 4 days. They use the ParcelNet (possibly called Hermes now) courier for deliveries. I have never had any problems with any of the orders I have made on this site.
This flat rate delivery only falls down if you only want one small thing as it is bit steep then. On the plus side, M&M regularly offer promtions on delivery where if you spend so much then delivery is free.
They also reguarly do other promotions, such as reducing specific brands by an extra amount and - of course - they have regular sales & clearances like any shop.
If you are looking for the typcial high street brands, then M&MDirect is a very good online clothing retailer and well worth a look.
I came across this website by chance, but am really pleased I did. I have ordered from them on several occasions and have always been satisfied with my order.
My most recent purchase was a knee-length Bench jacket. I am a big fan of Bench but can't afford to buy many items from them as they are so expensive. I paid £30 for the jacket, plus about £5 for next day delivery. Considering the recommended retail price was £65-I think the price was remarkable.
Other purchases from there have included a pair of firetrap jeans, which cost me £40, and were priced at £90 in a local clothing store. A saving of £50 on a pair of jeans is fantastic-and not many places offer such large discounts on larger items.
My only criticism of the site is that they don't sell Mackenzie clothing at the moment-although I guess they can't sell everything! Their clothing is always sold a lot lower than the RRP. The website is easy to use, and they send out a free catalogue to anybody who orders from them. I have never had any problems with them-all my clothing has come when they have said it will.
One thing that mystifies me about women (and this is just one of many, many things - believe me) is their seemingly universal love of clothes shopping. I really don't get it. I like to look nice, don't get me wrong, but the actual picking and obtaining of the clothes literally makes my head melt (I may not of mentioned previously that my head is made entirely from wax - it's a hereditary condition, I don't really like to talk about it. Sun bathing is a right bitch). Being in a busy clothes shop, for me, is what hell must be like - albeit with the heating turned right up and the air conditioning off. It's for this reason that I do practically all of my clothes shopping online, and one of my favourite shopping websites is MandMdirect.com.
The clothes they sell won't be to everyone's taste. We're talking hoodies, t-shirts, trainers, jeans etc. Chav chic you might say, stuff you'd wear if you were getting dressed up to hang around outside the local Spar of a Saturday evening. They have a lot of Bench, Adidas, Timberland and Henleys items considerably reduced from the RRP. As well as the chavy stuff you can get some decent smart casual clothes, suitable for the more conservative gent. I say 'gent', but they cater for women and children too. My wife has been known to order the odd item and she's like proper classy innit.
You should try and see views of the clothes you're buying from all angles. I mean, some of the stuff is there at an absolute discount price for very good reason, i.e. most people wouldn't be seen dead in it. What looks like a fairly innocuous jerkin from the front may well have the word 'Bench' scrawled across the entire back of it in day glow pink lettering. Not everyone will appreciate that.
Quite a few of my friends would also use MandM which can be annoying. Picture the scene.... You've just purchased yourself a snazzy new cummerbund or cagoule, you're looking good, you want to go and show it off at the local dance hall, then one of your mates turns up sporting the same thing that he's picked up at a bargain price from MandM too! Men generally can laugh these things off, get drunk and forget about it, but in my experience (WARNING: massive stereotypical generalisation coming up...) some ladies would put this right up there on the ultimate disaster scale. I've seen assassins drafted in to clear up messes like this before.
One thing that I would advise is that you give the super-cheap items a miss. I bought a wallet from MandM for £2.99 and it fell apart in a couple of months. Some of the really cheap clothing isn't of a very good standard either so it can be a bit of a false economy.
Standard delivery in the UK (including Northern Ireland) will set you back £3.99, or it's free if you're spending over £100 - which I find is remarkably easy to do. Delivery takes about a week - an acceptable waiting time if you as me. To be honest a quick search on Google for vouchers or discount codes will normally result in you finding some sort of additional price reduction (5 - 10% off or free delivery).
I've used MandMDirect.com several times. If you're reading this unsure of what or whom MandM Direct is, let me explain. They are a company on the internet who sell a wide selection of branded clothes wear. Most of their clothes is geared at sports wear. If you visit the site you'll come across brands such as; Helly Hanson, Golddigga, and Bench (just for starters).
The site has clothing for children and adults alike (unisex). It's easy to search for items using the drop down lists allocated on the left hand side of the page. When you select a specific drop down list next to the item(s) there is a number in brackets. This number represents the number of items they have available in that particular department.
I'm a big fan of MandM Direct. The service they provide is fantastic. The website layout is very easy to use and navigate around. The products pictures and descriptions are what I'd expect of an online store. These are all important aspects as far as I'm concerned. When you order online you are taking a higher risk than when you purchase in a store because you don't get the chance to see or touch the item for real so you have to trust the website is providing the correct information and the picture quality is good enough for you to really see the colour and detail of the item of interest.
We're not just talking clothes for sell on here either. There is a good selection of fashionable footwear, women's beauty products, bags and jewellery. As well as sports equipment for sports such as Cricket, Rugby and Football. You might not find as much as you perhaps you would in a high street sports shop. However the prices on this site are highly discounted and there is even a clearance section.
So far so good, well I will not mislead you into thinking it's to good to be true because like most things there are negative aspects too. Such as finding an item you fall in love with only to discover it's only available in one size and guess what? It isn't yours! How annoying is that? I hope I'm not the only one but sometimes I think aww it's only a size to small if I lose a little weight I'll fit into that okay. I really wouldn't take the chance, especially with branded clothing such as the above mentioned and you usually find these clothes sizes are smaller than the average high street stores sizing guide.
I'm afraid postage isn't free on this site either (well unless you spend over £100). For standard delivery it will cost £3.99 and for express £6.99.
Overall, I'd highly recommend you visit this site and if you see something you like I wouldn't hesitate in telling you to order it (along as you could afford it obviously). MandM Direct is a site which not only I use but many of my friends and family do too. I notice Dooyoo has several reviews about this site and I suspect they are positive like mine. I've only read one other review so I can not say for sure. I can only base my review on the experiences I've had with this online sports store.
I bid you farewell and hope you enjoy your online sporting shopping experience!
mandmdirect.com is an online site, which sells branded clothing at discounted prices. The main brands you can expect to see include Timberland, Superdry, Bench, Adidas, Nike, Puma, Lacoste, Henleys, Firetrap, K-Swiss, Fenchurch, Miss Sixty, Quicksilver, and many more of your favourite brands.
The layout of the site is simple, making it easy for you to quickly find the items you want. Along the top of the homepage you are given 6 options - womens, mens, boys, girls, new and clearance. On the left hand side you are given an option to put in the size, brand, product type etc in order to find a specific item.
They offer some great quality branded clothing for really cheap, you are guaranteed to pick up a few bargains, and they always have sale items saving you even more money.
They have a wide variety of clothing and brands for you to choose from but when they out a new catalogue or promote new offers the featured products sell out quickly, it can also be frustrating when your size is unavailable.
Also because they only sell designer clothing very few of the items in the ladies department go above a size 14 and even these can be on the small side.
Free delivery is automatically given on orders over £100.
Standard delivery, 5-7 days, £3.99.
Express delivery, if ordered before noon mon-fri next day delivery, £6.99.
You can return any purchase you are unhappy with, as long as the item/s are unworn, within 28 days of purchase. The company do aim to refund your money within 7 days although it can take 14 days.
If you type in your search engine "mandmdirect discount codes" you will usually find a code available for free delivery. The good thing about this site is that you can shop for all the family on there.
I would say the shop is great for picking up an unexpected bargain, but if you are looking for something in particular its likely that they will not have an exact match.
You can purchase your items by using all major debits and credit cards, and you can order a free catalogue by going to the mandmdirect home page.
