I have been so disappointed with Mankind, I cannot even begin to describe my anger. They are by far the worst company to deal with in terms of customer service.
If you live in the US or require a product with 110V, simply look somewhere else - I do not know why they even ship here or offer their products in US$ when they cannot provide items that work on our power supply. Secondly it would be very nice of them to mention this anywhere on their product descriptions or site.
Returning an item from the US to the UK costs almost double the value of the item so now I am stuck with something I can't use and was falsely advertised to me right before Christmas.
Numerous conversations with 4 different customer service reps have still not apologized for the error on their side. Needless to say I will never be ordering from them again.
And an additional note: their international shipping is ridiculously slow and they do not notify you of this until a few days after they have taken your money :(
Mankind is the worst online shopping site I've ever used. Maybe it works if you are Uk customera, but the overseas shipping is disastrous.
I ordered some skincare and waited for 2 weeks. The shipping tracking did not show any update. It was forever "left the UK and is on it's way". I sent a message to check the status and mysteriously, I received a reply that the package was "in London ready for transit".
I waited for more than 1 month, still nothing. So I wrote another email, then they admitted the parcel seems to be lost. I gave up and asked for the refund. Due to the recent fall in British Sterling, I lost 5 pounds on the exchange rate. So i paid 5 pounds for absolutely NOTHING. And my reply from Mankind was "there is nothing they can do".
So in short, i made an order, wasted my time to liaise and track my parcel, received nothing. I paid 5 pounds transaction cost and Mankind refused to bear any responsibility on that. Obsolutely worst customer service I have ever seen. Stronly advise people not to shop there again.
Possibly the most dishonest, unhelpful companies I have come across. This company advertises using false "offers" that you find are never available to you at checkout. If you do decide to proceed with your purchase and have a problem their customer service system will make it as difficult as possible to contact them and will ultimately go out of their way to be unhelpful.
Their competitors who appear to be slightly more expensive are actually cheaper and will provide an acceptable level of service.
I ordered my products in December 2014. We are now in the middle of February 2015 and I have yet to receive anything.
When queried, I was sent a generic email asking to be patient while they resolved the issue. WTF? 3 months wait!
After 8 years of been a loyal customer, their new approach to customer service since The Hut Group took over, leaves little to be desired. Good bye Mankind, you suck!
My order arrived with items missing and it took two attempts to get a manual paper form that has to be signed and scanned and then sent to an email box that bounces back - I have emailed it several time and called to advise of the issue. Customer service seem to think there is no problem despite their being reports of the issue on several review sites. No response from the feedback email sent to customer service.
Service art Mankind has deteriorated rapidly since The Hut Group took over and I will not be placing an order again.
Now going through credit card provider to claim as I am getting nowhere with the company.
This sort of service is completely unacceptable compared to other online retailers and given the number of other retailers selling the same kit there are so many alternatives to buying here.

Made an order and never received it. They employ a delivery company that has over 6000 negative reviews.Tracking the order said that the delivery company failed to access property! No cards or anything. Called delivery company and they promised to redeliver following day and call an hour ahead of delivery slot. No calls and card left.Called company and mankind . Both promised redelivery. Nothing for a few days. Called to cancel order and was told I couldnt! Asked for manager and made some noise and suddenly the order could be cancelled.Contacted custmoer service via email asking for explanation and a response from CEO- get generic replies and apparently CEO is too busy to reply to customers as has to run business!!Amateur and hopeless
It may seem like a perfect online website with 'everything a man needs', but don't be fooled, not only can only their items be bought elsewhere online, far cheaper; but their customer care service is disgusting.
Order 2 simple items a Anthony Logistics Astringent and a Baxter Of California Protein Shampoo. After waiting 5 days for the item to arrive the item deliver Service (they Use Hermes), had thrown it off my back gate (as there was currently no one in to sign for the delivery) - The result? A smashed delivery box with both items flooding out of the box and how my side-gate pavement.
Emailed through the complaint with images, as one would; to their supplied email address on their website. Found out that this NOT ONLY is this site not even active (and therefore unable to send image/complaints to), but Mankind's customer help line also had no actual way for you to send through proof of your damaged items...and therefore no way they can send out replacement or arrange for refunds!
I was absolutely furious that the customer care for the website would make out that these websites can indeed be used, when they couldn't even find my customer complaint when I stated the order number (unless of course this decision to block the email is higher up and therefore everyone in Customer care is just there to appear like they are assisting with failed deliveries.
Would NEVER use this company again ever!

The lady on customer service almost sounded sarcastic as if not believing Hermes would delivery an order in such a reckless and aggressive way. And even when the complaint was registered?...complete disregard for customer rights; through having no system to send images and proof that he delivery was destroyed upon delivery.
Take your money elsewhere! This is a rolling online scam of a company and you can most certainly fine bigger, better valued items that they supply, elsewhere.
I placed an order on 23rd Nov, and I'm still waiting for it to be delivered. Called the customer services department on 3rd Dec, who gave me some spin about it being stuck in the system (!?) and they would process it immediately. Called back on the 6th Dec as I'd still not received my order. Again, same story ("your order is stuck in the system") and they will "contact the warehouse to get it released". I expressed my disappointment, and asked for something to be done immediately, like getting it express next-day delivered, and I was told that they will try their best but no guarantees. That should have been offered to me firstly, along with some form of compensation. Nothing has come in the form of trying to maintain goodwill (I'm a returning customer), and so far nothing has been confirmed back to me as to whether my items have been dispatched or not. Bad company, poor customer retention, and overall a lot of hard work just to save a pound or two rather than go to another more reliable vendor/company.

This is the second time this year that an order has gone wrong and its been a fight to either gain compensation, or get my order cancelled and re-ordered.
Two failed deliveries which although not entirely their fault, should have been handled better by customer services, who fail to acknowledge any responsibility for the breach of contract. It is also exceptionally difficult to complain (I wonder why), they would not provide a valid email address instead allowing only character restrictive text boxes on their site. They should use a more reliable courier and educate their customer service staff on the sale of goods act. Would NEVER use again.
I have been a loyal and good customer of Mankind for a number of years. I purchased some face wash as part of a multi buy offer. On my third bottle the dispenser stopped working with half the lotion still in the bottle. The dispenser on the 4th bottle did not work at all. When I contacted customer services I was told that there are no refunds after 30 days of purchase. I explained that as part of a multi buy there is no reasonable way I could use that many bottles within 30 days. They were not interested despite this being a relatively cheap product and me having spent hundreds of pounds with them over the years. After a brief Internet search I found the products I use elsewhere and at a much cheaper price. That would be my advice to anyone considering using Mankind. You do not get a premium service for the extra money.
My order took ages to arrive (but was at least correct).I placed a largeish order and was given a "free" extra for this. Perhaps not surprisingly after the purchase I have had an email saying it is not available and they have kindly not charged me for a free item; well that is mighty generous.My first order with them is my last.
Having read all the glowing reviews about the Manceuticals Dark Circle Eye Treatment I used it regularly for 3 weeks but couldn't see any change/improvement at all. I submitted a negative review via the mankind.co.uk website but it has not been published. My queries re. my missing review has gone unanswered, which makes me question the authenticity of all the positive reviews.
Mankind.co.uk is a lifesaver for us men who like to take care of ourselves. It is an online store that sells products exclusively for men so no more washing your face with a bar of soap and then slapping on some aftershave.
The layout is really user friendly with different categories to choose from such as shaving, skincare, bodycare and fragrance etc. These categories are on the top of the page and when you go to them they have a drop down menu where you can then select sub categories such as in the case of the shaving menu the drop down gives you choice of selecting from shaving tools, pre-shaving, shaving oils, shaving foams, ingrown hairs, balms and many more. This is great if you know what category you want as it saves loads of time.
The look of the website is good also with a black and grey background which feels masculine which is quite important when you are shopping for creams and lotions.
When you select a product to view they are nicely laid out with a picture of the product and below this is a description. Beside the description you can view the ingredients and the directions for use. The best feature about the product page is the reviews from other customers. If you like the sound of a particular product you can then read what other customers are saying about it. The website seems not to censor their reviews as I have read some pretty scathing reviews on some products so I feel safe reading them and seeing what other people make of the product I'm thinking of buying.
For those men who have problem skin and have no idea where to start the website offers problem pages for such things as acne, oily skin, redness etc where you go to a drop down menu choose your particular problem and the page gives lots of great advice on what to do to help with the problem and what products it would recommend. It also has an ultimate guide telling you the best way to do common things such as the correct way to shave to get a smooth shave minimising shaving rash etc I thought this was great as no one ever tells you how to shave correctly it's just something you start doing on your own when you need to.
Along with all the lotions and potions they also do fragrances and gift sets. They stock harder to find products such as Molton Brown so make a good stop for any wives/daughters looking for a birthday or father's day gift and they also offer a gift wrapping service.
Postage is usually really fast and they deliver to the whole of Europe. It costs £2.95 for one item and £2.50 for two or more and next day delivery is £6.50 and if you spend over £60 (which is surprisingly easy to do) postage is free.
I would definitely recommend mankind to anyone looking for products designed especially for men as the choice they have is huge and the advice they give is great for anyone who isn't sure what they need.
Mankind is a shop for men, its not something i'd generally use as it sells cosmetics, aftershaves and shaving products for men. I was turned onto the site recently after reading an article in Shortlist Magazine which extolled the virtues of a new shaving device known as the razorpit (Apparently this device can extend the life of your razor to up to 150 shaves).
I thought this seemed worth checking out for £20 so checked out the company website.
How is the site looking/set out:
The site looks good from a black base it has loads of information, it has scrolling lists to sections for fragrances, shaving, skincare haircare and bodycare. It also has a really handy tool where you explain your problem and they offer products to help you, this can range from bad breath to acne to other issues.
There are also areas on the site for feedback, free trials and special offers. The site is well set out, easy to use and navigate and above all is fairly cool and current.
How do prices compare to high street shops, well they are fairly similar for lower range products, although there are also a huge range of higher priced products which are worth checking out, although they were well out of my price range. There is a good range of skincare and bodycare products as well as fragrances. The razors and razor related products are really good too.
Did I use the site:
I did purchase a razorpit for £20 and I went through the quidco website where I got 6% cashback on my buy, I also got a free Gillette Mach 3 razor too and noticed there were lots of offers for free products with main buys which was really encouraging.
Create a user account, use credit/debit card and supply contact details and your away, this was easy and quick to use and following purchase I received an email confirming when the product would be posted and might be received.
Shockingly my Razorpit arrived the second day after purchase, it was in a large box with lots of padding but I was shocked at the speed of delivery as I only made the order at 11pm. Delivery was efficient and there was a receipt in the box too.
Thoroughly impressed with my first purchase, the site looks good, there are some great things to buy and you can get cashback too. The products range from innovative to bespoke, its great value and great quality and i'm absolutely impressed with the whole process.
I would use the company again and will do now i'm aware of them, there are some great things to buy here and I really recommend you check them out, i'll write a seperate review on the Razorpit once i've given it a month or two of use to really appreciate it.
'Mankind' is a website which sells style and grooming products for men. Now I'm not someone who is particularly well styled or groomed, but I use this site to buy a couple of shaving products which I can't get elsewhere.
Found at www.mankind.co.uk, the online shop offers items in the following categories; Shaving, Skincare, Bodycare, Haircare, Fragrance, Tools, Accessories, Essentials, and Gifts.
In each of the sections, there are a wide variety of products aimed at men, although many of them are a bit too fancy for my liking.
The website is really easy to navigate and well laid out with a modern appearance. Pages are fast to load and there are large pictures of each item, so you can clearly see what you are getting.
In my experiences of purchases made with Mankind, I have had a trouble free service. Products are quick to be delivered, and usually arrive well packaged with some sort of free sample and a catalogue - a good service all round.
Prices are fairly competitive, but the site does generally sell expensive items - for example there is a tiny 130ml bottle of 'Dr Bragi'
Face cream for men which retails at £100! Lucky I'm not interested in that sort of thing then! However, that is an extreme example, and most items are well below that particular price. Delivery costs £3, although there are express and weekend options which cost a little more.
If you decide to use Mankind, look out for discount voucher codes as they always seem to have some sort of offer on. Recently they had a promotion where you got £10 off a £30 spend, which was particularly handy.
All in all, I have found Mankind to be a reliable and efficient website which I highly recommend.
