Advantages: Easy, On time, Good Customer Services

Disadvantages: No choice of delivery date

Recently I decided it was time for some new bedroom furniture. Unwilling to drag myself around the January sales I thought about shopping on the web. MFI was our most common furniture shop, so its online shopping site seemed the right place to go.

MFI?s shopping site default page is clearly laid out, links to types of furniture are there and also any special offers available at the time are clearly advertised.
Selecting the type of furniture your after and clicking the link takes you to a list of furniture collections available. Each has a collective photo of each collection, showing most of the items in one shot. A brief description is supplied for each collection. Clicking the collection of choice gives a list of all the items in the collection, prices, dimensions and a line drawing of each item. Personally I would have preferred a photo.

Selecting your items in the shopping cart is as normal, so is rolling through the checkout.
Delivery is not arranged on the site, you have to wait until you receive a hard copy of the order through the post. On receiving this you dial an automated phone line, where after entering the code on the invoice you are given your delivery date by the machine.

The hard copy of the invoice is supposed to arrive through the post in 48hrs mine however did not. After not receiving one for another few days I emailed MFI customer services. The next day I checked my email and found a reply from MFI, informing me that a copy had been despatched. I was pleased when it dropped though my letterbox the same day.

I checked the delivery date and the goods arrived on time.

Overall MFI was a good place to shop, despite some slow loading of the pages, well laid out and easy to navigate and Customer Services are proved to be excellent.
