Advantages: Quick delivery, free online researchers (if not personally knowledgable)

Disadvantages: Staff have little knowledge and very much a hit and miss with staff understanding

BACKGROUND:

I've read a few reviews of Novatech and I have to say that as well as being surprised, I've also learnt something more about them too.

I use them for most if not all of my computer needs and make purchases at least once a fortnight via a private account. The only other companies I use are Dabs, Amazon, Savastore (the latter can be slow) and a few others. I only use these sources if Novatech have no stock or don't sell what I prefer (like crucial memory, with that I go direct to Crucial).

MY EXPERIENCE:

So far I have no reason to put them down in any way, they are unsurpassed with the reliability of delivery. I had only one experience of a product not turning up when I paid extra for delivery - and the fault was my own, for not noticing 'out of stock' on the website.

STORE PICK-UP:

Being very far away I've never had to do this, I did notice one reviewer claiming he felt compelled to assist a fellow customer after 3 staff could not. It has to be appreciated that to an extent, the staff will largely comprise of the inexperienced, Novatech probably keep costs low by not running technology training. Moreover the place to ask questions is via the website and 'online chat'. Here you can get THEM to do the research for you, only a select few of the staff have in-depth personal knowledge or experience and this has to be taken into consideration.

HOPES FOR THE FUTURE:

I just pray that Novatech is not swallowed up by a larger company, who inevitably 're-structure' and ruin any staff morale / working system. I shall continue to use them, but admit I wouldn't go near there 'own brand' laptops in the same way I don't buy Tesco's economy marge' - it's still the same stuff, but doesn't taste as nice.

Summary: Great company for the IT literate to use - beware if not!
