Advantages: GOOD offers --------UNTIL they don't keep to their conditions
Disadvantages: Even items in writing -they don't promise to pay
I will get straight to the point about my NIGHTMARE ordeal with onestopphoneshop.co.uk .
I ordered a Motorola V795 on a 9months free line rental tariff. Now this is not the same story as everyone else which you will follow to see. Basically I connected in September 2005, yes 2005!!! My 3 cashback claims have all been on time, recorded and received -you DO have to be organised and on the ball to make sure you send them within their stated timescale. WHEN I received my phone my invoice stated that I would receive an "autocheque " back of £105. I quiried this and they advised I would receive this A MONTH after connection and it would automatically be credited to my credit card. Fairs Fair, I waited. And now over 17 months later and past tens of 40 minute-long calls, I am still at square 1.
Their excuses have been - delay with their cheques, originally sent on so and so date, had to put stop to cheque (which takes about 6 months opposed to the 30 days they advise),wait 28 days after another 28 days, will chase up and call me(THEY NEVER DO!!)
Iwill not rest this case as this is stated in their iffer unless it is another incentive to lure people's connection knowing well they are trying to get you to forget about this after time passes. My friend also connected within 1 week as I introduced them and they haven't received their's either, so I am not just one unforetunate soul!!
ACTION: After sending so many unreplied to complaints by recorded post, I have had to go to my local trading standards to attempt to contact them. Belive it or not they IGNORE THE COUNCIL too!! So now it is a matter of taking this to the small claims courts which costs a fee of £30 roughly.
Summary: Its not worth the hasse!! try simply3g ,phones4u, e2save ,(Human service)
