Online shopping has become massive, there are loads of places now that you can purchase goods online and sometimes cheaper than what you would pay in store, websites like ebay and amazon have made it much easier to trade online, not to mention shops setting up their own websites to allow customers to browse and purchase goods.

There are some guidelines that you may find helpful to follow when buying online:
1.) Read the product specification carefully
As you are buying online, you cant physically see or touch the product, so make sure that the specification matches the picture of the product to ensure that your ordering the right thing.

2.) Bank Details SET
Only trade on trusted websites with SET (secure electronic transfer) when adding your bank details to a website, this means that your bank details will be sent across a secure pathway and also be encrypted so if someone got a hold of them they would be useless to them.

3.) Only buy from websites you trust
This is obvious really, you dont want to buy faulty goods or maybe even not receive your goods as part of an online scam, your bank details are very important and if you share them with an untrusted website you may lose alot of money or even have your account cleared.

4.) 14day rule
If you buy something in a online shop, you have 14days to change your mind regardless of the product or the service, dont let shops tell you that you cannot return items that dont meet your expectations, as even if the product is perfect you can still return it if you dont want it, only within 14 days of purchase though.
