“ Printing company „
Started out promising and thought it looked like a good deal... bad idea, I ordered a business print for a promotional day where it was to be signed by our professional golf player after a big win after the Irish open.. ordered on Tuesday evening with next day delivery... Thursday at 4pm I called as hadn't arrived and the event was for Friday morning. was told that the driver said they couldn't find our building... a huge building slap bang in the middle of the city centre very well known and that we get deliveries from this perticular delivery company regularly. I accept that this is the delivery companies problem but then falls to the people using them.. Wouldn't have been my first choice. I called and waited the 37 mins to get somebody to answer the call to which I was told they would get it to me on Friday am... a lie. I called orbit who should have been making the calls to find my print and they really didn't care, and said I should keep calling the delivery company.... Bad customer service, they think it is not their issue if it leaves their place ok... it should also arrive!!!! I have tried to contact orbit many times and either get the phone hung up straight away or told that there is nothing they can do and they would not refund me, and as the still undelivered 7 days later print has not shown up anywhere I am just getting more irate.
I would never use this company again and will be making it a known fact on all media channels. You have my number you can contact me.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I paid extra and got my canvas/photo GUARANTEED for delivery today - it did not arrive - I have been on the phone over 40 minutes and was on the phone for over an hr earlier in the week, also sending various emails and now have just had an email saying they will not be able to deliver today or tomorrow. This is shocking! I would warn anyone off this agency. It could even be a scam - I am going to report them. Please take customer reviews and do not use this agency. There are so many others that also offer these products - and you will actually get your order!.

It's true, I am somewhat obsessed with my lovely chocolate Labrador, Pig: so much so that most people don't even realise I have an 8 month old Irish Water Spaniel called Puddle. Anyway, back to Pig.
Pig is my best friend - I don't care whether you think this is strange or not but she is so much better than a sulky boyfriend, an over-emotional human bf, or indeed most of my demanding family. Whenever I walk in the room, Pigsy is always ecstatic to see me (even if I've only been to the loo) and for this reason I decided to have her beautiful face printed on a canvas to decorate my lovely new house.
I knew what I wanted (as us ladies generally do) but I still looked round a load of other sites before choosing the Orbitprint one - I am somewhat tight when it comes to spending my hard earned pennies so it was pretty much based solely on price. I was lured in by their half-price offer which still appears to be running - I paid £31.99 for an A1 picture of my Pigglywiggly which in retrospect isn't as big as I thought and my bedroom could easily take a bigger one - my advice would be to cut out a bit of cardboard and see what that looks like on the wall (obviously hindsight is a wonderful thing!). However, the next size up is £49.99 so maybe I did make the right choice.
Ordering was dead easy - I just went to the website (after much deliberation) www.orbitprint.com and went through their 'configuration' process. The first choice is the size and layout of your photo (square/landscape/custom) handily with the prices listed next to them so you know what you're spending as you choose. Then, you get to chose a frame depth - I wanted a thick one which luckily is the free option; there's a slim frame for 99p and unframed where they randomly offer you a £2.39 discount. The next option is the 'wrap' where I'm ashamed to say I made a booboo. You see, my photo was Pig's head with a black background - I read 'Gallery wrap: photo wraps around the edges' and thought good that means her neck will carry on around the bottom of the frame. This is obviously what happened but due to the photo I used, the very top bit of her head is bent over the top of the picture (something I stupidly forgot to think about). Luckily it looks pretty cool but I wouldn't have chosen it. The other options are White or black wrap; Colour match (dominant colour replicated); and Mirror wrap (photo duplicated around the edges) - the latter is an extra 99p but the others are all free.
The next choice was the quality of canvas so obviously I went for the free option of regular canvas which describes itself as 'brilliant white, ultrasmooth' and it is. The premium canvas is an extra £1.99 but is supposedly a thick, premium cotton canvas. Told you I was tight. Orbit Print offers 'Enhancements' which includes things such as Red eye removal, Photo restoration and Date-stamp removal - all of which sounds great, though I saved myself £1.99 by turning my photo black and white first before uploading it (I'm a genius). The final choices are a pdf sent to you for approval (£1.99 - probably would have been a good idea as then I would have seen Pig's missing forehead, though I don't know whether they charge you again if you re-submit the choices), fixtures to hang your canvas with (£1.99 - go to Wilkos, it's cheaper), and gift wrap or shrink wrap for £1.99. Finally, you then upload your photo or send it by post - if you choose the former option, they'll tell you if the resolution is good enough which is nice of them. As well as the canvas choices I had to make there are the usual options for having your pictures on other materials such as jigsaws, mugs and coasters - all of which make lovely gifts for mothers when you've no clue what to buy them.
Obviously I chose economy delivery because it's free but there is the option of next day delivery at a staggering £9.99 which increases somewhat to £12.99 if you'd like it to arrive on a Saturday (you do have to order by 1pm the previous day though). Once you've decided whether or not you can wait to have your piccie of your perfect doggie, you then have to pay. That's how things work - you must pay. They accept pretty much all cards and you can track your order once it's placed - unfortunately, after I'd placed and paid for my order the tracking thingy went down so I sent them an email to confirm it and received a very nice one back straight away from Scott explaining the situation and apologising which was nice - I like it when it feels like a real person is processing your order though I am rather gullible!
My beautiful picture arrived 4 working days later (not that I was counting) and I am still really impressed with it - it's really good quality though since I've taken it out of the packaging and messed about with where I was going to put it, the edges of the frame have rubbed off a tiny weeny bit that nobody can even notice but I've got OCD and I can see it! I also notice the tiny spot on the end of Pig's nose (it's not her fault, it was adolescence) which I'd not seen on the photo - just a little tip to scrutinise your photos for impurities before using them. The frame itself is very light so don't worry about it pulling down your wall and you can tell they use 12 colour printing as standard (actually I couldn't since it was black and white but at least I sound knowledgeable).
The website was dead easy to use, I can't fault it at all - it's very clear and attractive to play around with and easy to find what you want. If however, you're not computer savvy then you can always give them a call on 0845 544 0581. They're a small company of only 15 employees but claim to be a large operation with a client base of the UK, Europe and America. Should you have an urge like I do to pop down and thank them for their present to your own house, their address is 7 Oakdale Court, Oakdale Business Park, Blackwood, Gwent, NP12 4AD.
Me & Pig.
Both picture perfect.
