Peopletree.com is an online website which sells clothing to men and women. The brand specifically offer items that are "sustainable and fair trade". They have a collection of designer brands on the site including Orla Kiely and Zandra Rhodes. They also sell accessories such as jewelry.
I would describe the style of clothing on the site as aimed at people aged 20 and over but primarily aimed at those aged around 25-35. There are clean cuts and obvious attention to detail in all of the items on the site. This is clothing for environmentalists but also for the upper classes. Similar brands are Boden and Esprit and in the women's section there is a Laura Ashley vibe to many of the pieces. Many of the designer brands feature items which are in trend and in demand.
The website is very easy to navigate and on each item page you get a great sense of what the item looks like as it is shown in multiple pictures both flat and on a model. You may also find a video showing the item being modeled. As well as this each item has very detailed care information and size charts.
This site is perfect for me as you can choose to pay by Paypal (as well as by credit/debit cards) which makes life a lot easier! Not only this but delivery is no extra charge and returns are also free making this a risk free purchase. The brand are very professional and their service is quick and of a high quality. They have a great reputation and an online network and you can do things such as read their blog as well as connect via social media.
The prices of items on Peopletree is quite high but they often do very good sales which brings the cost down considerably. The items I have purchased are very good quality but I appreciate that part of the cost is down to the production of the items. Items are handmade, fairtrade and often formed from organic materials. You can watch the fascinating clothes making process in a special video featured on the site. It makes you appreciate your clothes so much more!
I would definitely recommend this site to anyone who is looking for an ethical clothing site where the clothing is of good quality with unique designs.
I first came across People Tree a good few years ago when I was looking for a present for my sister who is very conscious of the environment and ethical products. People Tree is a company that sells ethically made and source clothing and accessories.
People Tree sell mens clothes, women's clothes and giftware including slippers, bags, purses and key rings. Over the years People Tree seems to have grown massively from only having a few items for easier to a few different ranges. The clothes for sake on the website are really nice and stylish and not at all just 'hippy chic' which you might expect from a company with this ethos.
People Tree is overall quite expensive with women's tops costing about £40 and the average dress around £75. It is worth looking at the sales as you can get loads off! I bought a top off of this site for just £12! The quality of their products is really good, I guess this is because it is made ethically and not in sweat shops.
The only issue people might find with People Tree is that they do not cater for all sizes. Most items are available in sizes 8 to 16 sand I have never noticed a tall or petite range.
Anyone that wants quality clothing then I recommend that you check out People Tree. You will get something that will be of high quality that is not available everywhere and you will feel good having bought some ethical clothing. It is also a great place to get someone a present who is conscious of where items are sourced.
