You would think that if you ordered an item on the 1st of dec it would arrive in plenty of time for christmas. Well with play.com you would be wrong, they say that they aim to deliver within 3-5 days of the item being dispatched but be aware that if your item doesn't turn up after the stated time they will not even consider the item as lost for 15 business days and they hide behind the post office "as the postal service does vary in each area this process can sometimes take longer."
Now as we all know the post office does actually deliver on a saturday too so should the policy not state postal days instead of "business days"??? would that not be a slightly fairer policy to have?
anyway the bottom line is that i have to wait until play.coms appointed time of 23/12/11 before they will even consider helping me. I ordered my Son an animal hoodie that he himself had chosen on the 1st of december and now i will have to let him down on christmas day thanks to play.coms so called policy.
To add i have asked the company to consider helping me if the item does not arrive by 16/12/11 that will be 12 postal days since the order was dispatched and hopefully they could replace my item in time for christmas. I wont hold my breath, but i will let you know.
