Myself and a colleague both bought a phone from redhotmonkey. It looked like a good deal at first, but the phones were not delivered when promised, there were unnecessary delays, the customer service was appauling, it was very difficult to get through to them on the phone, they never called back when they said they would... the list goes on. They promised that they would arrange to port my old mobile number to the new phone, but they proved themselves uttely incompetent in doing so. I called them SO MANY times but eventually had to give up and I lost my old mobile number, which caused heavy oncovenience. The phone cost £100, but they said it was actually free ... The other week, www.redhotmonkey.co.uk announced a deal to get a free mobile phone. You had to sign up to a £14 a month contract for 12 months, but they would also send you a cheque for 12 x £14 shortly after taking up the offer. Calls on the phone are between 5 and 12p/ minute. The phone is supposed to be delivered within 2 working days. This sounds great. Sadly their organisation is a shambles. You type your details in and can then track your order on line.
