I went into currys to buy several kitchen appliances - a dishwaher, fridge and washing machine.
I asked for a discount on the whole lot for a bulk purchase and was told they didn't do discounts, but if I found it cheaper anywhere else, then they would price match it.

Well, I did find it cheaper at sainsburys. I ordered it from their website, had it delivered the next day and got 3000 nectar points.

The delivery drivers were courteous, took the packaging away and offered to install the appliances at no extra cost ( the plumbing wasn't ready so I declined).

Overall, a prompt delivery and excellent value.

I have a Sainsbury's store less than 2 minutes walk from my home but I've been using sainsburys.co.uk for grocery shopping for about 12 months now. Why order online when there's a store so close, you might ask? Well that's because basically about once a month I order items for the office such as can drinks, tea, coffee, cereals, fruit, dishwasher supplies, cleaning products, etc. When I'm ordering 20 boxes of cereal and 100s of can of soft drinks and tea and coffee in bulk, I'm certainly not going to be able to carry all that myself when we can have it delivered straight to our office kitchen! I used to shop at sainsburys but stopped as they got too expensive, i used their online shopping service for almost 2 years and in those 2 years i can say i never had a problem with them. The website is easy to use, it stores your old shopping lists so you can click through them and find the things you buy every week and add them to your shopping list. The delivery drivers are polite and on the odd occasion they have been late they give you a £10 voucher off your next online shop, even if they are 1 minute late!!!!! Sainsburys.co.uk has the whole shebang - Banking, groceries, recipes, forums. Where will it every end?! Although all these products and services are a great idea are Sainsburys trying to do too much? The website, on first inspection, is very cluttered with many different products and services thrust at you on the first page. It does however get a little better when you delve into each topic. The groceries site is well set up but free delivery is only on orders over £100 which is really high in comparison with other online food companies.
