Advantages: Great selection of food, short wait in times, variable delivery prices
Disadvantages: None
As explained in my Asda online review im awaiting a back operation so cant shop on my own at the moment. Its been a good opportunity to review the delivery servies of the supermarkets i use regularly.
So on with Sainsburys...
Whats the site like?
The site is colourful (orange) and vibrant. Once you've signed in there is usually a little greeting and the special offers are highlighted. Then you have the various catagory tabs running across the top eg 'Food cupboard'. All the food items have photos and its simple to add to the trolly. Its also easy to delete all your shopping from your trolly and start again.
What do i think?
The thing for me that really sets Sainsburys apart from other supermarkets is the quality of the food. I was not let down with the online service. Ive always been delivered the freshest and nicest looking produce. If anything has a short date you are told about it and can give it back to the delivery man for a refund. The substitutions they make if an item is out of stock are always exceptional quality for no extra cost. The delivery people are alwasy cheery, they make an effort talking to me and have no problems with bringing the items indoors.
Delivery costs:
Delivery costs vary depending on the time you want the delivery from £3.50 to £5.50. I get my order from them on a Monday lunch and it usually costs £4.50. Also the delivery times come in one hour slots so you dont have to stay in for hours on end which is great.
I LOVE this service and have nothing bad to report.
Summary: Fabulous service that has to be tried to be believed
