I went into currys to buy several kitchen appliances - a dishwaher, fridge and washing machine.
I asked for a discount on the whole lot for a bulk purchase and was told they didn't do discounts, but if I found it cheaper anywhere else, then they would price match it.
Well, I did find it cheaper at sainsburys. I ordered it from their website, had it delivered the next day and got 3000 nectar points.
The delivery drivers were courteous, took the packaging away and offered to install the appliances at no extra cost ( the plumbing wasn't ready so I declined).
Overall, a prompt delivery and excellent value.

I have a Sainsbury's store less than 2 minutes walk from my home but I've been using sainsburys.co.uk for grocery shopping for about 12 months now. Why order online when there's a store so close, you might ask? Well that's because basically about once a month I order items for the office such as can drinks, tea, coffee, cereals, fruit, dishwasher ... Read the complete review

I used to shop at sainsburys but stopped as they got too expensive, i used their online shopping service for almost 2 years and in those 2 years i can say i never had a problem with them. Sainsburys.co.uk has the whole shebang - Banking, groceries, recipes, forums. Where will it every end?! Although all these products and services are a great idea are Sainsburys trying to do too much? The website, on first inspection, is very cluttered with many different products and services thrust at you on the first page. It does ... Read the complete review

I am a self confessed food shopaholic - I love food shopping!! Even when I worked for a food retailer and had a discount card for them I still flitted between supermarkets as I love the different experiences they provide. Online Food shopping was not something that really interested me - but now I have found it I can honestly say it makes my life ... Read the complete review

I usually use the home-delivery from Asda and Tesco each month but go to the Sainsburys in person, however there were a lot of heavy items on offer so I decided to register for their home shopping servic I felt the registration process was simple and didn't have any problems. My girlfriend and I have been living in London for almost nine months now and as neither of us drive, home delivery grocery shopping is the only realistic option for both of us. In theory we could walk to the supermarket, but having our groceries sharing a delivery van with a few dozen other people's would seem to be an environmentally friendly ... Read the complete review

Who wants to spend their weekends trawling around a packed supermarket. Negotiating my way past old ladies looking through each and every pack of bacon is not my idea of fun. Neither is having my car banged by a stray trolley. So online shopping solves all my problems. I decided to order from Sainsbury's as it is my ... Read the complete review

I used to do my food shopping online with Tescos, but they were unavailable one week so I decided to use Sainsburys instead. I expected to be paying a little more for Sainsburys but was amazed to find that I actually saved around £10. The reason for this was that there were so many more deals on offer at Sainsburys than Tescos ... Read the complete review

Since I have been doing my weekly food shopping online, I have had a preference for Sainsbury. This is due to a few reasons, my nectar card, the speed of the website and the delivery slots. ** Getting started ** When you first shop at sainsburys.co.uk, you will need to register your details. This is done because they will ... Read the complete review

Well i have used Sainsbury's for the food delivery service now a couple of times and both of these i was quite pleased about. It's pretty much the same as Tesco's and Asda's when it comes to the amount of substitutes - i mean a couple each time i ordered. The delivery driver was polite and took the shopping to the back door rather than taking to ... Read the complete review

I have been a Sainsburys customer for many years and even worked in a store for over seven years and although I like the store and the product choice available I have been let down by the 'to you' online service. I started using the site during my second pregnancy as I was too big and uncomfortable to wrestle a trolley around my local store. ... Read the complete review

Since 2004 I have been a regular user of several online food sites, in particular Sainsbury's because I benefit from their Nectar Reward Points scheme, making them my main choice of online shopper. There can't be many people who haven't heard of Ann Summers. Their shops are present in over 100 towns in the UK, and there's even an Ann Summers in Spain (Torrevieja). I started using Sainsbury's Home Shopping as an alternative to the 2 hour weekly trudge round the supermarket.
