I purchased a pair of aviator 'sunglasses' with UV protection. Usual price £19.99 offer price £5.99.
A great price I thought until I received the product. Joke shop mirror sunglasses. Not even worth £2.99! Stated quite clearly on the packaging that they were novelty glasses and should NOT be use as sunglasses as they were NOT UV protected!
I e-mailed to complain and the cheeky sods returned MY e-mail to me!
To cut a long story short, after numerous e-mails unanswered, I threatened them with court action, they 'phoned, promised a refund if I returned the product which I did by Royal Mail Signed For. I am still waiting 6 weeks later!
I have reported Saverpoint to Trading Standards who are investigating the workings of this company.
£6 is neither here or there to me, it's the principle that they are selling a product unfit for purpose and could not give a damn whether customers are happy or not.
BE VERY AWARE OF SAVERPOINT!!
I ordered McAfee Internet Security 2011 (3 user edition) because their price looked competitive. However, the product I was sent was not the 2011 edition I had ordered but the 2009 edition. Not only that but I was charged the price for the 2011 edition which was £3 more. I emailed them but they did not reply to my email - I was just sent an acknowledgement. Finally I decided to give it a go and try to install it anyway. Surprise, surprise it was not compatible with my PC despite the advert on their website saying that it worked with Windows 7 - so now I'm going to have to order it again from somewhere else - probably Amazon. I've learnt my lesson so take heed - be warned. Their prices are cheap for a reason!
Ok 1: they will debit ur account you will not get a conformation.2: mention tradin standards or your bank and they will stop your product being shipped.3: phone your bank wait 28 days and you can get the payment returned due to failure of the product to arrive (it will not cost you).4: a company where the online and telephone customer service can NOT communicate without a 2-4 days delay. you will NOT get a delivery date.5: they are entertaining and asinine.6: DO NOT BE THEIR NEXT VICTIMif you want a product go to a shop or amazon. for a few £1 you get a servicehttp://www.facebook.com/group.php?gid=285888603713&ref=nf
NO NO NO NO NO
I used to think price was important. Not so. The experience I
had with this firm was beyond belief. You may order your goods
and may get a fair product and price, but people DON'T
BOTHER if you need to complain about anything. Aftersales
service is not only vitually non-existent, but if you do get through
on their EXPENSIVE 0870 LINE they are lazy and rude. It just
not worth it---read the other reviews --its all sadly very true
these people think you are the sh** on their shoes. I am a price
man but will gladly pay 20% extra (Not necessary--they're not
that cheap) to keep away from these lowlife idiots. I have never
reviewed a firm before, but these people are sooooo horrible
we all have a duty to spread the word. DONT BUY-----EVER!
Just hope if you do buy anything that you never have to speak
to any of the humans(?) on the 0870 phone--you will regret it.
I ordered some items from this shop on 2nd of april. Today we are 17th and still received nothing. On their website its written that delivery takes max 14 days, I wait 17! I called them today and they said they will send my order tomorrow! Why tomorrow! I paid on 2nd april! They didn't even apologize and were acting like nothing happened, like it was normal! Very bad shop. AVOID.
This company is appalling - do not buy things from them. After ordering something and them taking payment I am still waiting three months later for the product. They claim that my bank had not authorised payment despite payment going out on the day of order and the bank providing authorisation codes to prove so. I phone them daily and await their promised reply which I never receive - the customer services is the worst of any company that I have ever dealt with.
i orderded a pvr it arrived 10 days later but it would not work wrang savapoint they asked lots of questions as though i was stupid but finally agreed that i should send it back this i did at a cost of £8 28. i then telephoned 10 days later to see what was happening reply it has being sent back to the makers and that a new one would be sent out.2 weeks later i telephoned again, they are waiting for new stock so i asked for a refund.10 days later no refund.telephoned again they did not know anything about the refund. 10 days later telephoned the bank had declined the refund took details again and received refund.this has cost me £8 28 and telephone costs plus they are so rude when you do call this is the worst company i have ever dealt with stay clear.
Savapoint were OK until I had aproblem item, then the service was worse than useless.
Do not order from Savapoint. I did and it turned out to be a costly mistake. I ordered a DvD recorder. The motor which drives the disk was so loud that I could hear it above the tv. I sent it back only for the engineer to say there was nothing wrong with it!
They agreed to give me a refund but I lost the cost of the original shipping as they don't refund this (£7.95), the £18.50 it cost to return (as I was told it had to be a recorded delivery, returned within 7 days) and they also took a 20% 're-stocking' fee (you are not told this information anywhere on the website). All in all I lost £42 on the transaction.
The person I talked to on the telephone was very unhelpful and didn't seem to care that I was so much out of pocket and the engineer I talked to just seemed bored with the whole thing. On the whole, if they say that there is nothing wrong with the product, there is absolutely nothing you can do about it.
Savapoint may have great prices, but believe me, it isn't worth it to save a few quid. I certainly won't be buying anything else from them and I wish I done my homework on them in the first place.
Savapoint do not go near ! I ordered goods which did arrive in time but part of goods did not work and they also sent the wrong items.
Sent email and asked to return goods.
Have returned the goods after many weeks of phone calls and emails which they now say have not received any returned goods at present, and we cannot refund your money.
Phoned again and waited for 7 mins before a answer to find a rude person saying you will not get any money returned. Now in hands of my lawyer small claims court .
STAY away from SAVAPOINT.
Bad customer service, e-mails not replied to,long delivery timescales not advertised on website, the list is endless1 star added because I have todo not buy from this site - you have been warned
I placed an order with Savapoint on 5-6-07 for a set of ink cartridges for my Epson printer. They were delivered to me a full 55 days later!! All of my e-mails were ignored. I'd just about given up and written the money off when they arrived. If you are thinkig of placing an order with Savapoint I advise you to think again. Their prices look good but their service is RUBBISH!!! There will always be another company on the net where you can get a good deal AND good service.
Really awful company. matter of non delivery now in the hands of my solicitor. Unable to communicate with their customers, and no-one 'in charge' to complain to. Dont shop there - you will regret it.
Savastore is a company owned by Watford Electronics which was started in attic 35 years ago. Then the company sold electronic parts now it has moved into selling IT hardware.
In 1996 website was opened by the company and few years later retail name was changed to savastore. The name is catchy however the service is terrible.
I ordered from them 4 weeks ago. Order took a week to come when 3 days were promised and I had delivery charge.
What I am not happy about is money was taken out of the account twice. I know I will get the money back. however it has been three weeks since they took the money out and although I've been promised the money is not returned to the account.
This is not what the man who started the company in his house in 1972 had in mind. Back then the service must have been good for the company to expand.
Prices of savastore are same as any other retailer selling on the internet, I have bought from several companies in the past. They all have same business model. When things go wrong it takes long time to sort out the problems.
The internet store is impressive. Thousands of items are on sale. The payment method is secure, various payment methods are adopted by the company and if things don't go wrong it is an acceptable company to do business with, however sometime errors are made and I suppose I will get an apology at some point and of course the money, asking for interest probably is too much.
