screwfix.comNewest Review: ... This causes problems as the books are so jammed with stuff that often a picture can be very small or the item might not have a picture at all. The Screwfix website does well to eliminate this problem by having far more pictures and better descriptions. The website is very easy to navigate with a search box on the home page enabling you to find an item by name or code quickly and easily. Once you have found your item there are reviews from previous buyers which I find particularly helpful when deciding between various products. The checkout is easy to use and you can either reserve goods to pick up or have them delivered. Delivery is £... more |

Screwfix.com is Scewfixes online shop. If you have ever picked up a screwfix book you will know just how many products they sell - literally thousands. Screwfix is set up like an argos where you pick up the item after ordering it at the till with its unique code. Have recently had cause to look for a new radiator for my kitchen. When my plumber offered to buy this for me I asked him where he was likely to go for it and he - reluctantly - told me Screwfix. As I had used this site in the past I was quite confident to say that I would order it myself. Logged onto the site and did a search for radiators - HUGE number of results! Narrowed it down to the selection I wanted and placed my order - no mess, no fuss, just a simple screen. Also neeeded some valves and these were just as simple to find. The whole site is really easy to navigate, even if you are more enthusiatic DIYer than professional. ... Read the complete review

Screwfix is a fantastic online store which sells just about anything and everything you could ever need for DIY. From screws and nails, to entire kitchen and bathrooms! My husband is a joiner & carpenter and so we originally got the book for him for tools & bits for his trade but we now use it more for our own personal use. The catalogue is divided into easy to find sections and I find it very easy to find what we are looking for. The prices are very reasonable too. They have a bulk option on many things so if you are buying say 5 or 10 items you get them cheaper than usual. There is a small delivery charge if you spend under i think £50 but we usually ... My dad has used Screwfix for many of years so when I needed a new bathroom suite he was quick to point me in their direction. The bathroom I purchased was cheaper than most I had found in the likes of B&Q and better quality too, however, I feel like the lower price has led to substandard service. My problems started when for some reason, it showed 2 bathroom suites in my basket, and I didn't realise until after I had pressed the submit order button, because I ordered on Christmas day there was nothing at all I could do to stop the order going through, and by the time they opened again, it had already been sent to the supplier. I ... Read the complete review

A Screwfix catalogue always sits happily on my desk with bits of yellow post-it notes sticking out the top to mark the various pages of items I'm buying. You're right - I'm a big Screwfix fan! They sell everything from toilet seats to garage door openers and make browsing DIY easy. A lot of the time you will get more information from their catalogue about a product than you can actually find out when shopping in-store. Delivery charges vary:- for their standard service (which is still fast) it is £5 for an order under £50 and free for orders over for most of mainland UK. They also do other faster or Saturday services if you are desperate and ... Read the complete review
