Advantages: My prescription is very strong and many other online suppliers do not cater for it. Disadvantages: There is no one on hand to speak to, all communication is via email. The website was fairly straight forward, no problems there. I purchased a new pair of frames similar to my current ones to avoid any unpleasant aesthetic surprises! Obviously it is your responsibility to provide your correct prescription and PD measurement. I placed my order on 4 May 2009, received a progress report on 9 May 2009 that my lenses and frames had been ordered. The next report I received was on 19 May 2009 to say that my frames had arrived, then again on 23 May 2009 to say the lenses had arrived. Glazing was finished on 28 May 2009 and I received an email to say they had been posted and it contained the tracking number. It said I would receive them in 3-7 days, but I received them the next day, boxed up and all was well. I've read comments by some people saying that their tracking number was fake etc...well the link provided in the shipping email didn't work, I had to go direct to the Royal Mail website and find the tracking section. I pasted the tracking number and it worked fine that way. They usually send their glasses out by special or recorded delivery so someone must be present to sign for them. It is the fault of the post office if a note is not left to say the package is sitting at the sorting office! I had mine delivered to work so it was not a problem. Summary: I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised, got exactly what I asked for. |
